At our core, we’re a luxury décor procurement and execution partner. We help clients and designers’ source, coordinate, and implement a wide range of interior and exterior solutions—from custom window treatments, millwork, and kitchens to hurricane-rated windows and doors, as well as outdoor shading systems like awnings, pergolas, and hurricane screens. Instead of juggling multiple vendors, clients work with one team that understands the full scope of a project—from design direction through installation. Our goal is to make the process seamless, efficient, and stress-free.

You describe your company as a “one-stop shop.” Why is that so important in today’s design process?

Time is one of the most valuable resources for both homeowners and designers. Managing multiple vendors—especially across interiors, structural elements, and outdoor features—often leads to miscommunication, delays, and unnecessary stress.

Your background includes construction, architecture, and international experience. How does that shape your approach?

I started my entrepreneurial journey very young and built my career in the window treatment industry in Haiti, where I learned the importance of adaptability, precision, and resilience. Having a construction and architectural foundation means I don’t just focus on aesthetics—I understand structure, performance, and execution.

That perspective is especially valuable when projects involve kitchens, impact-rated windows and doors, or outdoor installations that must meet functional and safety requirements while still looking beautiful.

Shades & Design Studio works with both homeowners and interior designers. How do you balance those audiences?

We see ourselves as a partner to both. Homeowners want guidance and reassurance—they want to know they’re making the right decisions across many categories. Designers want efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.

Our role is to support the designer’s vision while ensuring the client feels confident and informed. By handling sourcing, coordination, and execution across multiple product categories, we allow designers to focus on creativity while we manage the complexity behind the scenes.
