Studio Kasa | Where Art Meets Intention with Josh Kasper
+3 A closer look at Studio Kasa’s bespoke approach to art curation for Interior Designers, Architects, Developers and Private Collectors.
In thoughtfully designed spaces, art is never an afterthought — it’s the element that brings meaning, emotion, and identity into the room. For interior designers, architects, developers, and collectors, sourcing the right artwork requires more than taste alone. It requires access, transparency, and a process that protects both the vision and the investment. We sat down with Josh Kasper, owner of Studio Kasa, to talk about how curated art elevates interiors, why art doesn’t need to cost millions to be meaningful or valuable, and how a global sourcing model creates a seamless experience for designers and clients alike.
For those who may not be familiar, how do you describe Studio Kasa and what you do?
Studio Kasa is a premier art curation firm specializing in sourcing bespoke decor and investment-grade artwork from leading emerging artists worldwide. Our core focus is curating custom artwork for residential and commercial properties, typically within the $2,500 to $25,000 range — though our access extends well beyond that when projects or collections require it.
We regularly commission original pieces through a defined, proven process and also source from an extensive international inventory. If we don’t have what’s right for a client, we go find it. Once we do so, we handle all logistics from importation to installation if necessary. Also, unlike our competitors we pay extremely strong referral fees.
What inspired you to build Studio Kasa this way?
I saw a major gap between the art world and the interior design and architectural communities. Too often, art sourcing felt inaccessible, overly complex, or disconnected from the actual space it was meant to live in. Studio Kasa was created to bring clarity, access, and intention to the process — making art acquisition seamless, transparent, and aligned with both aesthetic and financial goals. Plus, we turned art sourcing into a real revenue driver for designers and architects, paying multiples more than our competitors in referral fees.

What sets your art curation process apart for designers and project teams?
Our process is built around flexibility and access. There are no limits on style or genre — modern, contemporary, old masters, pop art, photography, and beyond. Every engagement starts with understanding the space, the client, and the story the artwork should tell.
From there, we manage everything — Sourcing from inventory , commissioning custom works and handling logistics— so designers can focus on the creative vision without being burdened by the operational side of art procurement, while getting paid to do so.
Art logistics are often overlooked. How does Studio Kasa manage that behind the scenes?
We act as both logistics manager and in-house customs agent, coordinating international shippers, local installers, and customs requirements. This ensures artwork arrives safely, on time, and ready for installation — without disrupting project schedules.
Designers and clients shouldn’t have to worry about shipping delays, customs paperwork, or handling complexities. We’ve built the infrastructure so the experience feels effortless.
Transparency is a key part of Studio Kasa’s philosophy. Why does that matter in the art world?
The art world can feel intimidating and opaque. We bring transparency to pricing, sourcing, and value, ensuring clients understand exactly what they’re acquiring and why it matters. Art doesn’t need to cost millions of dollars to be meaningful — or to perform well as an investment. Our role is to educate, guide, and align artwork with each client’s aesthetic preferences and long-term goals. In fact, art does not even need to be an investment. It can play a similar role to most items purchased for a home like a beatiful console table or custom bed frame. We ensure our clients are paying fair market value or below. The key with art is that it is the item that will display a clients personality the most and therefore, it requires a lot of care making sure we are communicating what the client (end user, designer or architect) wants to showcase.

Tell us about the investment side of Studio Kasa.
In addition to curation for interiors, we work with private collectors and financial services firms to facilitate fine art investment. In this arm of the business, we typically focus on pieces in the $5,000 to $5,000,000 range, though we have resources that can support larger transactions. We start by understanding a client’s spending allowance and risk appetite, then source artwork aligned with their objectives — whether that’s price appreciation or income generation through loaning works. To date, I’ve helped multiple investors achieve 5X returns on artwork.
Access seems to be a major differentiator for Studio Kasa. Can you explain that?
Through our global network of artists, dealers and galleries, Studio Kasa has unprecedented access to artworks that many buyers simply cannot acquire without an established profile. That access allows us to curate pieces that feel exclusive, intentional, and tailored — rather than transactional.
You also work with brands through corporate partnerships. How does that work?
Studio Kasa partners with boutique firms and large brands across multiple verticals to integrate art curation into their existing business models. Each partnership is customized. In some cases, artwork is sourced as part of a broader marketplace experience. In others, brands leverage our full curation infrastructure behind the scenes. We can be hands-on or hands-off — depending on the partner’s needs — and we have the systems in place to support both.

You’re a sponsor of the Designer’s Choice Award™ Campaign Series. Why was it important to support this program?
Designers play a pivotal role in how art is experienced within a space. The Designer’s Choice Award™ Campaign Series celebrates their expertise, creative vision, and professional perspective — while providing them with publicity and recognition. Supporting a program that puts designers at the center aligns perfectly with Studio Kasa’s mission. When designers are empowered and recognized, the entire design and art ecosystem benefits.
Any final thoughts for designers, collectors, or partners considering Studio Kasa?
Art should feel intentional — never intimidating. Whether you’re sourcing artwork for a project, building a collection, or exploring art as an investment, the right guidance makes all the difference. Our goal is to make art accessible, transparent, and deeply personal — while protecting both the vision and the value behind every piece. Also, we have turned this into a revenue stream for designers so not only do you benefit financially, but you also get to help your clients aquire one of the few items in their homes with appreciation potential.
