Art Week 2025 brings a dynamic mix of cultural programming, notable openings, and standout dining and nightlife experiences across Miami. Below is a curated selection of highlights showcasing some of the most anticipated happenings of the week.

WHAT TO DO IN MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT:

2025 MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT 10TH ANNUAL DESIGN COMMISSION BY KATIE STOUT

ABOUT: The Miami Design District, in collaboration with Design Miami Curatorial Lab, announces acclaimed artist Katie Stout as the recipient of the 2025 Annual Design Commission. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this year’s Design Commission will debut throughout the neighborhood during Miami Art Week, with additional displays featured at the 20th anniversary edition of Design Miami’s flagship fair. Stout’s installation, Gargantua’s Thumb, brings a fantastical cast of sculptural furniture to life including a whale, mermaid, alligator, dog  pelican, turtle, horse, trout, and crab that invites playful engagement. At the heart of MDD, an interactive carousel offers an immersive centerpiece. Overhead, hundreds of colorful orbs, each embedded with flora- and fauna-inspired figures, will be suspended throughout the neighborhood’s trees.

THE CRAIG ROBINS COLLECTION: WALKING ON AIR

ABOUT: The Craig Robins Collection—comprising over 1,700 works of modern and contemporary art and housed at Dacra’s Miami Design District headquarters—presents its 2025–2026 rehang, Walking on Air. The exhibition centers on Richard Tuttle, the most prominently represented artist in the collection, showcasing works from the 1960s to today. Early pieces like Drift (1965) and Letters (1966) reveal Tuttle’s enduring exploration of material delicacy and spatial suspension. Placed in dialogue with works by David Hammons, John Baldessari, and Marcel Duchamp, the show reflects a shared fascination with chance and gravity. The presentation also features pieces by Jana Euler, Sasha Gordon, Xinyi Cheng, Mario Ayala, and new acquisitions by Lauren Halsey, Sam McKinniss, and Jill Mulleady.

CARTIER: PANTHÉRE INTO THE WILD EXHIBIT

ABOUT: Cartier and the panther are inseparable; two destinies intertwine in a shared story brought to life with the immersive experience, Panthére Into the Wild. Follow in the footsteps of the precious Maison emblem through immersive spaces dedicated to every facet of her legacy. From her first debut on a wristwatch, to the woman who realized the strength of the feline’s form, stories of savoir-faire along with exceptional flora and fauna creations, and a privileged selection of historic and archival pieces from the Cartier Collection, discover the precious wilderness of the Cartier menagerie.

JEFFREY DEITCH: THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW

ABOUT: Bringing together a group of 25 interconnected artists, the exhibition surveys the latest and most compelling trends in art making today. These artists draw equally from past and present—absorbing a variety of historical influences while forging distinctly new visual languages of their own. Their references span Pop Art, Cool School, Hollywood cinema, the internet, commercial advertising, muralism, Buddhism and more. Working across a wide range of mediums—from painting and sculpture to digital collage and fashion—the artists featured in That Was Then, This Is Now are helping to define a new generation in contemporary art.

WHERE TO DINE: 

NOW OPEN: LE SPECIALITÀ 

ABOUT: Bringing a true taste of Milano to The Magic City, Le Specialità will officially open its Miami Design District location on November 10th. Le Specialità has been a beloved Milan institution since 1977, known for its timeless Italian dishes and its ability to attract some of the city’s most discerning diners for over four decades. Designed by the acclaimed Rockwell Group, the interiors reflect a “radical retro-chic” sensibility where Milan meets Miami, enhanced by a curated art collection from founder Andre Sakhai’s personal archives, featuring works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, and more.

NOW OPEN: AVA MEDITERRAEGEAN 

ABOUT: Riviera Dining Group announces the opening of AVA MediterrAegean in Coconut Grove. The concept offers a multi-sensory journey that fuses refined elegance with spirited energy. Inspired by the Cycladic region, the menu reimagines Mediterranean and Aegean flavors through fresh ingredients and time-honored techniques—highlighting vibrant herbs, citrus, olive oil, and premium proteins. Extending the experience, AVA MM is an exclusive members’ retreat featuring refined Japanese cuisine and curated cultural programming.

CLAUDIE ART WEEK PROGRAMMING

ABOUT: During Miami Art Week, CLAUDIE – a standout concept by Riviera Dining Group – is partnering with Bartoux Gallery to showcase the evocative works of Anna Master in its Main Dining Room. To complement the exhibition, an exclusive cocktail reception will be held on December 1st for Riviera Dining Group’s MM Members and their VIP guests. In addition, CLAUDIE’s Private Dining Room will feature the stunning photography of Frédéric Pinet. To celebrate the opening of his exhibition, a special cocktail reception will welcome MM Members and distinguished guests, with curated bites and cocktails designed to enhance the experience. Complementing both exhibitions, CLAUDIE will offer a signature cocktail inspired by Anna Master’s art, creating a fully immersive experience that celebrates creativity and the spirit of Art Week.

WHERE TO PLAY: 

CASA NEOS MM BEACH CLUB

SHELLONA ST. TROPEZ

ABOUT: On December 5, CASA NEOS will host an exclusive music collaboration with Shellona St. Tropez—marking Shellona’s first-ever U.S. appearance. The partnership brings together two iconic lifestyle destinations: Miami’s CASA NEOS, founded by Gregory Galy (RDG), and the French Riviera’s Shellona, led by David Barokas (DBG). Featuring Adriatique and Shellona’s artistic director John Bellone, the one-night celebration will capture the spirit of Mediterranean summers through sound, style, and hospitality. A limited-edition CASA NEOS × Shellona Saint-Tropez T-shirt will mark the occasion, ahead of CASA NEOS’s planned St. Tropez takeover in Summer 2026.

MILA MIAMI 

PHILLIPE CARTEAU & DJ LINE UP

ABOUT: Located in the heart of Lincoln Road, MILA Miami and MILA Lounge are joining forces with visionary artist and designer Philippe Carteau, known professionally as Philip Karto, for an exclusive Art Basel collaboration. Celebrated for his reimagined luxury handbags that merge high fashion with bold artistic expression, Karto will present his distinctive creations throughout MILA Miami’s second and third floors during Art Basel. To mark the occasion, he will debut a limited-edition MILA Miami collection designed exclusively for this collaboration.

The week’s festivities will be amplified by an exceptional MILA Lounge DJ lineup, featuring Miguelle & Tons (12/2), ANOTR (12/3), Dixon (12/4), Desiree (12/5), Valeron (12/6), and Kimonos (12/7) — setting the tone for an unforgettable Art Basel experience.
