As Miami Art Week approaches, The Gabriel South Beach, an iconic art deco gem on Ocean Drive, is elevating its guest programming with an exhibition by internationally acclaimed artist Sarah Main. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and artistic spirit, the hotel will host an immersive program centered around Main’s groundbreaking fusion of traditional painting, augmented reality, artificial intelligence and music.
From December 3-7, guests can immerse themselves in Main’s multidimensional artistry, with eight stunning works displayed throughout the hotel. Highlights include A.O.K., which reflects on society’s pursuit of convenience, and Cyberella, a meditation on the harmony between technology and creativity. The Eccentric Fool celebrates nonconformity and individuality, while Like Water inspires balance and tranquility amid life’s unpredictable flow.
Main’s work is deeply personal, serving as a visual diary that navigates the delicate balance between chaos and clarity. As she describes, her art “seeks to illuminate the profound beauty hidden within a seemingly nonsensical world.” Motivated by her experiences as a mother, she adds, “Through the act of painting, I invite viewers to rediscover their inner child, sparking a sense of wonder that fosters belief in a better tomorrow.”
The programming is more than a static exhibition – it’s an invitation to experience the artist’s journey. Each day from 1-5 p.m., Main will bring her creative process to life through live painting sessions, allowing guests a rare behind-the-scenes look at her work. The completed piece will later be auctioned, with proceeds supporting a meaningful charity of Main’s choosing.
Adding to the artistic experience, Main will also host nightly art tours at 6 p.m., providing hotel guests with deeper insights into her work and inspirations.
