Once one of the Midwest’s premier social clubs, Hotel Kansas City continues the tradition of hosting guests, now with luxury accommodations set amongst a historically-preserved backdrop. The celebrated building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and many of the original qualities of the Kansas City Club are still seen today in the hotel, such as the Club’s champagne bar, now a Lobby Café and tiling from the original pool still on the walls of guestrooms on the 13th floor. The 15th floor, which held an outdoor garden, was transitioned into downtown Kansas City’s only indoor-outdoor events-specific venue. Today, Hotel Kansas City hosts 144 guest rooms and 15 suites, many with a separate living area and loft space. There is also more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space, including the Starlight Ballroom and Terrace, and the two-story Tudor Ballroom with stained-glass murals by renowned designer Ronald Neill Dixon.

While Kansas City and the area may be known for BBQ, Hotel Kansas City’s signature restaurant, The Town Company, led by James Beard-nominated Executive Chef Johnny Leach (Town, Del Posto, Momofuku), intertwines rustic roots and refined beginnings that embody the Kansas City experience as it is known today.  Charming, yet inventive, The Town Company redefines the concept of a new Midwestern table. With an intimate menu based around the white oak burning hearth, The Town Company’s menu rotates consistently throughout the year and is fueled by a network of local farmers, ranchers, and other unique purveyors. In addition, Nighthawk, a cocktail speakeasy with live entertainment is located in the cellar.

Built on a culture of community, Hotel Kansas City is a platform that celebrates local musicians, distillers, entrepreneurs, and performers alike, introducing visitors to the local culture and traditions that celebrates the timeless nature of the building and a spirit that represents the past and the present. Guests will find themselves in an optimal location to explore local shops, museums and attractions, including The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
