Miami Art Week and Art Basel at the InterContinental Miami

Miami’s downtown bayfront luxury hotel, InterContinental Miami is once again hosting an exhibit featuring the works of international artists, painters and sculptors.  Curated by acclaimed artist  Noel Santiesteban the exhibit takes over the hotel’s renowned lobby and spills over into two ballrooms via an art walk.  Kicking off with an open to the public VIP preview on Wednesday, December 4, the exhibit runs through Wednesday, December 11. Artists include work by sculptors Alejandro Sainz, Eval Ausejo, Julio Hernandez, Muniz Art, Noel Santiesteban, Rafael Blanco, Ramon Pedraza, Roberto Perez Crespo and painters Avijit Duta, Eduardo Abela, Orlando Barea, Ernesto Capdevila, Estefania Santiesteban, Indranil Gosh, Nelson Dominguez, Nelson Iadicani, Noel Aquino, Orestes Gaulhaicedro, Pedro Avila Gendis, Rafael Consuegra, Raur Boro, Sergio Payares, Tomas Esson, Vincente Bonachea, Vladimir Manic and Zoran Ignatovic.  The exhibit is free and open to the public.  Intercontinental Miami is located at 100 Chopin Plaza in Downtown Miami. Boia De x Glass2Grass: Glass & Gourmet

Glass and Gourmet, hosted by Glass2Grass, returns to Boia De on December 6th for an immersive fusion of art and fine dining. Taking place from 3PM to midnight, the event invites guests to experience world-class glass artistry paired with Michelin-starred cuisine by Boia De’s Alex Meyer and Luciana Giangrandi. The ticket, priced at $200 per person, includes an open bar featuring exclusive collaborative drinks by Tinta y Cafe and Miami Fruit, an all-you-can-eat menu by Boia De from 5PM to midnight and access to three exhibitions: Sculptures in Silica (3PM-5:30PM), showcasing intricate works by renowned glass artists like Amber Cowan and Valentine Glass; Akio x AKM (6PM-9PM), a collaborative pendant showcase blending two creative forces; and Art in Function (9:30PM-midnight), featuring functional glass artistry by Swiss Perc, TK Happa, Toro Glass, and more. Miami Art Week Kojin x X.O. Collab Dinners

Description: This Miami Art Week, step out of the gallery and enjoy art on a plate at Kojin, Coral Gables’ hot new restaurant from chef couple Pedro and Katherine Mederos. The Kojin culinary team will welcome chef Sebastian Marin of Medellin’s internationally acclaimed X.O. and his talented crew for a not-to-be-missed dining experience. After a private invitation-only event on Thursday, December 5; the chefs will welcome culinary aficionados and fans on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7 for two evenings of gastronomic excellence. Art Basel Activation at R House

Located in Wynwood, Miami’s Art District, R House is a pioneering restaurant and bar heralded for its famous weekend drag brunch and stellar food and beverage, making it the perfect Art Basel destination. This year, R House is collaborating with AHF (AIDS HealthCare Foundation) to create a pop-up art activation that will be available to the public starting on Wednesday, December 4, and open throughout art week until Wednesday, December 11. AHF is a global nonprofit organization that provides medicine and advocacy for people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. It is currently one of the largest providers of HIV/AIDS medical care in the world. The activation will transform R House into an art exhibition that highlights the incredible talents of six artists including Hiero Veiga, Sam Kirk, Rae Senarighi, Bikismo, Antonyo Marest, and Emma Hack – representatives of various diverse backgrounds. The six installations will represent the stages of processing an HIV/AIDS diagnosis. Guests can visit R House to see the exhibition on the following dates/times: 12/4: 8:30PM – 10PM; 12/5: 4PM – 10PM; 12/6: 4PM – 12AM; 12/7: 11:30AM – 12AM; 12/8: 11:30AM – 6PM.
