The Canvas Bar, the latest offering from The Graspa Group, the award-winning hospitality group behind some of  South Florida’s favorite dining destinations like Segafredo, Spris Pizza, Salumeria 104, and Osteria, has opened its doors in the heart of Edgewater at 1600 NE 1st Avenue. This vibrant neighborhood hangout promises an unparalleled experience, combining elevated international comfort foods, hand-crafted cocktails, craft beers, and global wines with a dash of retro entertainment.

The Canvas Bar provides a social oasis – It’s decor is playful and inspired by nautical themes, featuring palm-tree patterned wallcoverings, bamboo accents, and vibrant yellow hues. The 2,750-square-foot indoor dining area boasts 21 tables, three sofas, and a 12-seat bar, all centered around eight large flat-screen TVs broadcasting the latest sporting events. A dedicated laid-back lounge, which is adjacent to the main dining area, allows guests to step into their childhood again with a game of pool or a round of vintage arcade classics like Pac-Man and Space Invaders. Outdoors, the 1,500-square-foot patio, illuminated by ambient string lights, sets the stage for alfresco dining and lively foosball matches.

“We’re thrilled to be part of the area’s growth, especially with the rise of residential buildings. There’s a clear need for a neighborhood hub—a place where everyone can relax over good food and drinks.” stated General Manager Giuseppe Castiello, “Miami is known for its upscale venues, but we noticed a desire among locals for a more approachable atmosphere. That’s why we created The Canvas Bar—a welcoming haven for all.”

The Canvas Bar’s menu features an array of indulgent global comfort classics. From savory starters to juicy burgers, crisp salads, and authentic Roman-style flatbreads known as Pinsas, each dish is a delicious trip down memory lane. Highlights include Pulled Pork Bao Buns ($12) with hot honey sauce and Fried Mozzarella Pearls ($9) topped with marinara sauce. Handheld sandwiches and burger options include the Angus Burger ($16) and the signature Canvas Breaded Chicken Sandwich ($14). Pinsa options range from the Truffle Mushroom Ricotta ($18) to the Prosciutto ($20). For heartier appetites, the Fork & Knife section offers signature plates like Baby Back Ribs ($20 half rack, $29 full rack) and Homemade Lasagna Bolognese ($15).

Paired perfectly with any dish, The Canvas Bar offers a wide selection of signature and classic cocktails, brews, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages. Signature $12 sips include the Limoncello Margarita, featuring Don Julio Tequila, Limoncello, basil, and crushed Lemon Heads, and the Pistachio Key Lime Martini, made with Grey Goose Vodka, Amaretto Di Saronno white, pistachio cream, and lime. Thirst-quenching spritz options are also available for $10, such as the Camperol Veneto and the Ciao Bella.

After an evening at The Canvas Bar, guests can continue the festivities at The Kaona Room, a “speaky-tiki” tucked away behind a secret door. This hidden gem transports guests to a Polynesian paradise, offering exotic mixed-drinks and rum flights, alongside island-inspired food and desserts. With its intimate setting accommodating just 45 patrons, The Kaona Room is perfect for intimate gatherings and corporate events.
