Miami, Fla. — Oct. 10, 2023 — Rottenstreich Farley Bronstein Fisher Potter Hodas LLP (RFB+Fisher Potter Hodas), a national litigation boutique concentrating on complex, high-net-worth matrimonial disputes has tapped Richard I. Segal, Esq., to co-found and serve as the co-managing partner of its new Miami office, alongside Zachary Potter. Segal will focus on complex matrimonial law and business litigation.

RFB+Fisher Potter Hodas, with offices in Manhattan and Palm Beach, is expanding its presence in South Florida with the opening of a substantial Miami office by the end of 2023.

With nearly 30 lawyers across its three locations, RFB+Fisher Potter Hodas is the most significant firm in the United States serving high net-worth families in matrimonial actions and other complex commercial disputes nationwide.

Segal’s appointment builds on his leadership in Miami’s business and legal communities and the success of his prior firm, Miami’s Segal Zuckerman, which focused on business litigation, family law, and trust and estate litigation in state and federal courts throughout Florida and nationwide. (Before founding Segal Zuckerman, Segal began his career at Kluger Kaplan, where he was the youngest attorney ever elected partner at the firm.)

A third generation Miami Beach native, Segal has deep roots in the community. In October 2023, he will be installed as Chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, a position he will hold for two years, after more than a decade of commitment to the organization. Segal previously was appointed by the city commissioners of Miami Beach and Mayors Levine and Gelber to serve on the Board of Adjustment (“BOA”), and chaired the BOA for two years.

“We are very pleased to welcome Richard to Rottenstreich Farley Bronstein Fisher Potter Hodas LLP. Even though he is joining us a few months into our venture, we consider Richard to be one of the firm’s founding partners. I am personally excited to build our new Miami office with him,” said Zachery Potter. “Richard is a top-flight lawyer and a leader in the Miami business community, with the expertise and background to help spearhead our expansion into the Miami market and deliver value to our clientele.”

Segal said, “I am truly honored to partner with such a distinguished law firm and assist with the opening of its new office in Miami. This city has always been my home, and I’m excited to be a part of RFB+Fisher Potter Hodas’ growth in south Florida. With its continued growth and evolution, Miami is the ideal location for the firm’s expansion.”
