There was plenty more than golf happening at Miami Beach Golf Club during PAWS4you Rescue’s second annual Paws on the Green Charity Golf Tournament. The event brought together animal lovers, local businesses, community leaders, and supporters from across South Florida for an afternoon dedicated to one goal: helping rescue animals find safety, care, and ultimately, loving homes. By the end of the day, the tournament raised nearly $50,000 to support PAWS4you’s rescue efforts and future improvements to its facility, helping the nonprofit continue its work caring for abandoned, neglected, and homeless dogs.
Throughout the afternoon, golfers navigated the course while sponsors hosted interactive activations and guests enjoyed food, beverages, raffles, auctions, and opportunities to meet some of the rescue dogs whose lives have been transformed through PAWS4you’s programs. The event reflected the strong community support that has helped PAWS4you become one of South Florida’s most respected animal rescue organizations. Volunteers, donors, and local businesses rallied around the cause, demonstrating a shared commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable animals. A special appearance by Miami radio personality DJ Laz added to the festivities. During the event, he celebrated the release of a new children’s book he co-authored with his wife, bringing an extra sense of family and community to the day.
Beyond the fundraising, attendees also learned more about PAWS4you’s plans to renovate and modernize its rescue facility. The improvements are expected to enhance animal care spaces, improve medical recovery areas, and expand capacity so the organization can help even more dogs and cats in need. The tournament was made possible thanks to the support of dozens of local businesses and community partners. Guests also participated in raffles and silent auctions featuring experiences, products, and prizes donated by South Florida businesses. As the day concluded with awards and celebrations inside the clubhouse, the true winners were the animals whose futures will be impacted by the generosity of the South Florida community.
For PAWS4you, Paws on the Green has become more than a golf tournament. It’s a growing tradition that brings together people who believe every animal deserves a second chance.
