Juliana’s Pizza, the famed Brooklyn-born pizzeria founded by legendary pie-maker Patsy Grimaldi, has officially opened its doors in the Nora District. With its signature coal-fired oven, time-honored recipes and deeply rooted family traditions, Juliana’s is set to become a beloved staple of the Nora District’s evolving culinary scene.
Reviving a New York Icon
Juliana’s Pizza represents the celebrated return of Patsy Grimaldi, one of New York City’s most iconic pizza makers, whose family legacy shaped generations of Brooklyn pizza culture. After founding and later retiring from the legendary Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, Patsy and his late wife, Carol, partnered with longtime friend Matt Grogan in 2012 to bring the original Grimaldi recipe back to life under a new namesake: Juliana’s, honoring Patsy’s mother.
Today, Juliana’s continues the Grimaldis’ tradition of crafting thin, crisp coal-fired pies using only the finest homemade, locally and internationally sourced ingredients. Each pizza is prepared and turned inside a hand-built coal-fired oven, ensuring the signature flavor and texture that made the family’s recipe a New York classic.
The new West Palm Beach location marks Juliana’s second outpost and its first in Florida, offering a direct connection to Brooklyn’s iconic pizza lineage in the heart of the Nora District.
A Growing Destination in West Palm Beach
The arrival of Juliana’s adds a defining culinary presence to the Nora District, a walkable, reimagined neighborhood developed by NDT Development, Place Projects and Wheelock Street Capital. Named after North Railroad Avenue, the district blends food and beverage, boutique fitness and wellness, lifestyle retail and creative workspace across more than 150,000 square feet.
Nora is quickly emerging as one of South Florida’s most dynamic mixed-use destinations. Its next phase will introduce The Nora Hotel, a 201-key boutique property opening in 2026 in partnership with BD Hotels and hospitality visionary Sean MacPherson. Anchoring the hotel will be Pastis, the beloved New York Parisian-style brasserie from James Beard Award winner Stephen Starr. Additional multifamily residences, retail, dining concepts and office spaces are also underway, continuing to shape Nora into a vibrant cultural hub.
