The highly anticipated Visit Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival (VLFWF) returns January 13-19 with an exceptional week of epicurean experiences that invite food and drink lovers to learn from renowned national and local culinary talents, enjoy one-of-a-kind dinners and explore the diverse and innovative flavors that make the region unique. In 2025, the sixth annual premier food and wine event in Broward County offers a robust lineup of 35 immersive experiences, including interactive culinary classes, unforgettable cooking demonstrations, wine and cocktail seminars, signature events, an exclusive dinner series and fan-favorite, The Grand Tasting. The weeklong festival showcases the dynamic culinary scene of Greater Fort Lauderdale through an impressive gathering of celebrity personalities and chefs headlined by Fabio Viviani, Nancy Fuller, Jason Smith, Alex Belew, and social media personality Alexa Santos of @alexawhatsfordinner. Joining them in the foodie celebration are the region's local chef legends, emerging chefs, restaurateurs, and local food and beverage establishments. Winter Break Camp STEAMology at Museum of Discovery and Science

School is out but Camp STEAMology is in! Children ages 5 – 10 can travel “Around the World” December 26 – 29, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. In this four-day program, campers will learn about the different continents of the world diving into the science of zoology, migration and behavioral patterns, weather models and more. They’ll even engineer a coral nursery that is resilient to weather fluctuations. Children will explore different cultures around the world and create an art piece with diverse cultural influences. South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world. Children can also visit MODS’ newest traveling exhibit “Thomas & Friends™: Explore the Rails!” Rail. The exhibit was created by the Minnesota Children’s Museum in partnership with Mattel, Inc. and is nationally presented by Fisher-Price. Presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, STEAMology camp admission is $240 per child for MODS members and $280 per child for non-members. Aftercare tuition is $45 per child.
