Festive Fun for the Whole Family: Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights at The Betsy
This December, the Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights returns to Ocean Drive, transforming The Betsy Hotel into a magical world of light, music and holiday spirit. Running across two weekends—December 13-15 and December 20-22—the festival invites guests of all ages to immerse themselves in a unique celebration where holiday cheer and contemporary artistry meet.
The festival will have nightly performances at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. Guests will be greeted by holiday characters like Santa Claus, the Grinch and Elsa, bringing festive excitement to visitors of all ages. Children can enjoy a playful winter wonderland with artificial snow, adding an element of seasonal magic to the warm Miami Beach atmosphere.
The Betsy’s historic architecture will serve as the canvas for an enchanting light display, with advanced projection-mapping technology creating a symphony of colors and visuals that dance along the building’s façade. The show is synchronized to live orchestral performances presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF), creating a multisensory experience unlike any other in Miami Beach. The 1400 block of Ocean Drive will be entirely lit, from intricate patterns to seasonal imagery, all perfectly timed with classical and festive music.
On December 14, the festival will be followed by Miami Beach’s Annual Holiday Drone Show, where hundreds of drones will light up the night sky above the beach, creating a dazzling aerial spectacle that adds an unforgettable touch to the holiday season.
The Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights is free and open to the public, though VIP seating is available for those seeking a closer view of the festivities. Brought to life by MMF and The Betsy Hotel in collaboration with the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, this event is quickly becoming a beloved holiday tradition.
