Design is truly in Elle Watkins Rude’s blood. A North Carolina native raised with traditional Southern hospitality, Elle was destined for a career rooted in artistry, beauty, and meaningful connection. As the founder and principal designer of Styled Up, she brings more than 20 years of industry experience to every project—blending creativity, empathy, and expertise to create interiors that feel both elevated and approachable.
After studying interior design at East Carolina University, Elle’s career took her around the world. She spent several years as a Port Shopping Expert for luxury cruise lines before settling in Fort Lauderdale, where she managed multi-line showrooms at DCOTA and collaborated closely with many of Florida’s top interior designers. This diverse background—from retail environments to luxury residential design—shaped her belief that great design should feel attainable, personal, and joyful.
At Styled Up, Elle and her team apply a discerning eye and thoughtful approach to projects of all scales and investment levels. Whether curating a turnkey luxury residence or refining the perfect color palette, Elle approaches each space with warmth, authenticity, and a deep desire to ensure every home reflects the people who live there.
