Christine Wiseman of Bar Lab Wins Bartender Award by North America’s 50 Best Bars
Bar Lab Hospitality’s Global Beverage Director Christine Wiseman has just won the most prestigious honor in her field: the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award from North America’s 50 Best Bars, which lists the best drinking establishments across the continent.
Only one bartender is selected by their peers to represent the best of the best from the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean and Canada, voted according to who “pushed the boundaries of what it means to be a great bartender.”
Wiseman is a hospitality industry veteran with over two decades of experience. The native Californian spearheads the beverage program for all of Bar Lab Hospitality’s award-winning concepts, including Miami Beach’s iconic Broken Shaker and Arlo Wynwood’s MaryGold’s Florida Brasserie and Higher Ground. She has earned worldwide recognition for her cocktail prowess, having been featured in Food & Wine, GQ and Punch and appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live. In 2020, she was a finalist for “American Bartender of the Year” in the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Spirited Awards.
Wiseman’s most recent work is for Higher Ground at Arlo Wynwood, a tropical urban retreat where friends can hang within the indoor-outdoor third-floor courtyard for craft cocktails, wines, local beers, classic American eats and live entertainment. The cocktail program takes the stage here, helmed by Wiseman herself.
