On Thursday, April 16th, Café Boulud will host an intimate wine dinner in collaboration with Château La Nerthe, offering guests a refined exploration of one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most historic estates. Beginning at 7:00 PM, the evening unfolds within the elegant setting of Brazilian Court Hotel, where a five course menu will be paired with six wines that reflect the estate’s longstanding legacy.

Founded in the 16th century, Château La Nerthe is among the oldest properties in the Rhône Valley, with a winemaking tradition shaped by centuries of dedication to its terroir. Today, under the stewardship of the Richard family, the estate continues to uphold organic practices, producing wines distinguished by balance, elegance, and layered complexity.

The evening’s menu, curated by Executive Chef Christopher Zabita, Pastry Chef Rosana Quintero, and Head Sommelier David Sauer, begins with langoustine aux asperges blanches, accented by Marcona almond, lemon confit, and verbena, paired with Le Nerthe Côtes du Rhône Blanc ‘Les Cassagnes’ 2022. A second course of coquilles grillées au safran, featuring PEI mussels, tomato confit, and puffed wild rice, is complemented by Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2023.

For the main courses, poulet basquaise with piperade, chorizo, and pickled ramps is served alongside Le Nerthe Côtes du Rhône Rouge ‘Les Cassagnes’ 2022, followed by agneau provençal with ratatouille, kalamata olive, and chickpea panisse, paired with both Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2023 and a 2015 vintage, offering a nuanced look at the evolution of the estate’s red wines. The evening concludes with a mousse de chèvre et poivre du Sichuan, accompanied by spiced plum and raspberry compote, paired with Château La Nerthe ‘Prieuré de Montézargues’ Tavel Rosé.

Priced at $270 per guest, the dinner presents a thoughtful progression through Château La Nerthe’s heritage, bringing together historic wines, seasonal cuisine, and a setting that reflects the understated elegance of Café Boulud in the heart of Palm Beach.
