Ann Storck Center, a Fort Lauderdale-based private nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its 28th Annual Celebrity Chefs event on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood’s Grand Ballroom in Hollywood, FL. The event will kick off with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by an open bar and tastings from South Florida’s top restaurants, breweries and bakeries.
The event will raise awareness, funds and “glasses” to support the Ann Storck Center, which accommodates 96 residents and serves more than 300 individuals daily through an array of critical care, learning and ability-focused programs.
Since its inception, Ann Storck Center’s Celebrity Chefs event has raised nearly $5.5 million dollars to support Ann Storck Center’s mission, which is throughout all of its programs and services to discover ability and build independence so that individuals live happier, more independent, fulfilling lives.

Diversity Honors, the globally renowned celebration that benefits Harvey Milk Foundation and The Pride Center at Equality Park, exclusively hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, is thrilled to announce the fabulous, out and proud Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award-winning, and Golden Globe-nominated, actor, singer, director, composer, playwright and activist Billy Porter will be receiving a Harvey Milk Medal. The foundation will also bestow Harvey Milk Medals to honor music pioneer, multiple Grammy Award-winner and LGBTQ+ activist Belinda Carlisle and singer/songwriter Spencer Battiest. The cocktail chic event will be a night to remember beginning with an elaborate cocktail reception featuring live entertainment by Miss Bouvee. A seated dining experience and the awards presentation in the Grand Ballroom will immediately follow. The celebration continues with the Stoli After Party at The Guitar Hotel featuring poolside entertainment by international singer/songwriter Debby Holiday.

Award-winning actress and singer Amber Riley (Glee) will join the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida (GMCSF) for its “Celebrate the Holidays'' concert at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. Under the baton of Artistic Director Gabe Salazar, GMCSF will treat audiences to a selection of popular holiday favorites, new standards, and creative vocal arrangements of time-honored classics.
Special guest vocalist Amber Riley, best known for playing Mercedes Jones on the Fox comedy-drama series Glee from 2009 – 2015, will join GMCSF, lending her soaring vocals to the gifted group. For her performance in Glee, she and the cast won a Screen Actors Guild Award and have been nominated for three Teen Choice Awards, three NAACP Image Awards, and a Grammy Award. Riley and partner Derek Hough won season 17 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars 2013. In December 2015, she portrayed Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North, in NBC's live performance of The Wiz and the following year, she originated the lead role of Effie White in the West End debut of Dreamgirls, for which she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical and an Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Musical Performance. In 2017, Riley appeared as a judge on BBC One’s musical theatre talent show Let It Shine and formed a musical theatre supergroup with Beverley Knight and Cassidy Janson, known collectively as Leading Ladies, which was signed to East West Records/Warner. Her debut album, “Songs from the Stage,” was also released in 2017, and in 2020, she released an EP as just “RILEY.” Most recently, Amber won season 8 of FOX's The Masked Singer making history as the first celebrity ever to win both The Masked Singer and Dancing With The Stars. GMCSF will perform “Hark The Herald Angels Sing,” “Silver Bells,” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” among others.
With more than 180 singers on their roster, the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida is the most prominent gay men’s chorus in the southeastern United States and one of the country's top 10 largest LGBTQ+ choruses. Water safety and drowning prevention take center stage during the YMCA of South Florida’s annual Beach Ball, presented by Nicklaus Children's Hospital, on Saturday, October 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood.
Themed “Rock with Us!,” the Beach Ball benefits the Y’s Aquatic Financial Assistance program, which provides free lessons and water safety instruction for at-risk children, teens, families and caregivers in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Since 2016, funds raised have made it possible to provide swim lessons and water safety education to over 150,000 children in local communities.
The Beach Ball is the YMCA of South Florida’s signature fundraiser and one of the hottest social events of the season in South Florida. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, three-course dinner, live musical entertainment, dancing and a live auction. In addition, a silent auction, which will include a wide array of high-quality items, will be available starting 10 days prior to Beach Ball 2023 and will run through the event.
