Wes Gordon serves as the Creative Director of Carolina Herrera New York. Appointed by the brand’s founder, Carolina Herrera, Wes leads the global creative strategy of the label across all brand platforms including ready-to-wear, bridal, fragrance, beauty and eyewear.
Raised in Atlanta, Wes attended Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London. Upon graduation in 2009, the designer moved to New York City to launch his eponymous line of womenswear and presented his collection in New York from 2010 to 2016. During this time, Gordon received the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award and was a finalist for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
In March 2017, Wes began consulting with Carolina Herrera before being appointed Creative Director in 2018. His first runway show for the House was Spring 2019, which was presented on September 10th, 2018 in New York City. Most recently, Wes was inducted into Business of Fashion’s venerable #BoF500 list.

The Line-Up includes:
A macabre mini cocktail flight with a wicked twist on three classic cocktails: Vampire Kiss Vodka Twist, Black Magic Sangria , Ghastly Ghost Lychee Margarita

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet and interact with bromeliad experts, shop, and enjoy a beautiful day in paradise.
PLANTS FOR SALE: South Florida has a great number of nurserymen who propagate, hybridize grow, and sell bromeliads worldwide. There will be approximately ten vendors selling their unique types of bromeliads and related merchandise. As has been the case in years past, each vendor has different plants available for sale and can provide growing tips to keep new acquisitions in great shape.
BROMELIAD SOCIETY OF SOUTH FLORIDA EXHIBIT: Be sure to check out the Annual Show Exhibit, a judged competition of rare plants. The exhibit is open to all in the Garden House.
RARE PLANT AUCTIONS: On Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 pm in the Garden House there will be a lively auction of plants chosen from the growers’ and nurserymen’s collections. Plants you will never see in a big box store! Make your best bid and take home some unique plants. Come early to check these plants out before the auction.
STUDENT ART SHOW: The Bromeliad Society of South Florida is very proud to partner with the Miami-Dade School District in presenting a judged art show of very talented middle school students.

The Hungry Post is hosting the first Front Row Experience of the year: Solteros Edition at SipSip Calypso Rum Bar at the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, presented by Maker’s Mark.
An intimate evening filled with fun activities, delicious food, and drinks with the opportunity to meet like-minded people. From speed dating to games and interactive singles activities, there will be something for everyone, and with the unique matching system, you could even walk away with a special connection.
