International Women’s Day is coming up Wednesday, March 8 and 1-800-Lucky is celebrating with their 3rd annual ‘Women in Hospitality' summit. The afternoon event will start at 5:45 pm with a live panel discussion moderated by James Beard Finalist, award-winning cookbook author, and chef Nicole Ponseca of Jeepney NYC and Miami will touch upon the issues affecting women in hospitality, how to be a good mentor, industry challenges and trends, and conquering challenges in both their personal and professional lives. Panel guests include Valerie Chang of Itimae and BSide Sushi, Sarah Starr of STARR Restaurants, and Gaby Chiriboga, owner of 1-800-Lucky. The panel will conclude with a ‘tiki happy hour’ in partnership with Brugal Rum and light bites from 1-800-Lucky vendors. 100% of ticket proceeds will benefit a local Miami women’s and children’s homeless shelter.
