South Florida’s Hottest NEW Happy Hours to Stay Cool This Summer

Summer time = longer days and new happy hours. From a new Happy Hour omakase tasting at Uchi in Wynwood to alfresco sunsets at ADRIFT Mare in Brickell, these are the coolest spots to stay out of the heat and in the know. 

Daily HH at Award-Winning Uchi Miami

For elevated Japanese cuisine and delicious deals, Wynwood’s hotspots Uchi is the go-to destination. Its all-new happy hour, launched just in time for summer, features floral and fruity cocktails, unbeatable discounts on hot and cool tastings, temaki, okashi, nigiri and an eight-course omakase tasting from the skilled sushi chefs. Daily deals include the chilled Suzuki Crudo ($14.50), with striped bass, tomato zu and toasted bread furikake; Walu Walu ($9.50) or the  Suika Temaki ($9), with watermelon, mint and yuzu kosho aioli. Pair with 50% off all bubbles, $8 wine glasses, $10 Highball, $7 Monopolio beer and $9 Tsukinowa sake. 

Happy hour is available daily from 5-6:30 p.m.

HH Skyline Views at ADRIFT Mare

For those dreaming of a Mediterranean summer, ADRIFT Mare is the perfect oasis nestled within the elegant confines of Hotel AKA Brickell in Miami. An escape to Southern Europe crafted under the guidance of Michelin-starred “Gypsy Chef” David Myers, ADRIFT offers 25th-floor views of The Biscayne Bay. From 5-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, the culinary sanctuary welcomes guests to a Sunset Lounge Happy Hour featuring $12 craft cocktails, $8 beers, $12-$14 wines by the glass, and $4-$10 snacks and bites. Sip the summery Strawberry Kush, made with vodka, strawberries, shiso, sichuan and sparkling water, or La Tropical beer, a Vienna-style lager from Key West. Guests can pair their snacks like they’re on the Greek Isles or Italian Coast with a variety of Mediterranean classics like the Mezze Plate ($8), served with olives, hummus, fava spread, grissini and aged cheese, or the Grilled King Prawns with Espelette Pepper Oil ($10).

Happy hour is available Monday-Friday from 5-8 p.m.

Lucky Hour at Higher Ground and the Lobby Bar at Arlo Wynwood

For affordable American eats, beers and cocktails hidden away from the heat,  Higher Ground at Arlo Wynwood Wynwood’s go-to bar. Set in a lush, foliage-framed courtyard on the boutique hotel’s third floor scenic with views of Wynwood, the indoor-outdoor is the perfect spot to catch up with your crew. Add the new Lucky Hour, every Thursday through Saturday from 5-7:30 p.m. with $5 beers, $10 specialty cocktails, $8 wines by the glass, and the Happy Meal ($12), a cheese pizza and draft beer combo, and it’s a dream come true! Downstairs, the Lobby Bar serves up its own Lucky Hour from 4-7 p.m. daily, featuring the Lobby Bar Happy Meal ($12) with truffle fries, Arlo’s signature fortune cookie and the Peachy Pride cocktail, made with Tito’s vodka, Blue Curaçao, lime and Red Bull Yellow Edition. Linger at the Lobby Bar on Friday evenings from 7-10 p.m. for the free Sextou! Live Jazz.

Local Happy Hour + Arcade Games at The Canvas Bar

For fun and relaxation after a long workday, The Canvas Bar, Edgewater’s premier hangout haven, is the one-stop-shop for quality comfort cuisine, creative cocktails and vintage arcade games. Every Tuesday through Friday from 5-7 p.m., guests can indulge in happy hour drink specials at this newly opened hot spot. Enjoy $5 draft and non-draft beers, like La Tropical and Miller Light, and $6 wine options are also available, including Cin & Cin Prosecco, and Masi Bonacosta Valpolicella. Take advantage of these specials in the indoor dining area with nautical-inspired decor and vintage arcade games (like Pac-Man and Space Invaders) or on the outdoor patio beneath ambient string lighting.

South of Fifth Happy Hour at Balfour Hotel

Guests can enjoy the vibrant South of Fifth neighborhood during Happy Hour in style without hurting their wallets at The Balfour Hotel this summer. Offering an impressive range of meticulously curated menu items and expertly crafted cocktails from Chef Antony Awak and lead mixologist Alberto Montesino, the hotel has introduced a new happy hour, available at the lobby bar, Monday through Thursday from 5-7 p.m. For $10 each, guests can enjoy dishes such as the Manakish Flatbread, made with za’atar, tomato, labneh and olives, or the Local Fish Crudo, topped with grapefruit, fresh herbs and lemon vinaigrette. The Balfour also offers $8 house wines, $5 rotating bottled beers, and select $10 signature cocktails (like the Hugo Spritz and Coco Martini) that pair perfectly with the Mediterranean-inspired plates.

Casa Sensei

For a luxurious and globally-inspired, unbelievable Happy Hour, guests can look no further than Casa Sensei.
