Tri-Rail’s Free “Rail Fun Day”

Tri-Rail’s “Rail Fun Day” returns to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Station at Dania Beach (500 Gulf Stream Way) on Saturday, February 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees of the annual free family fun day will enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, interactive games, cookie decorating, photos with Tri-Rail’s mascot Conductor George Green and popular costume characters, face painting, giveaways, food trucks, and the “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent” singing competition. Children and families will enjoy interactive games, arts and crafts with Art and Culture Center/ Hollywood, and activities from popular South Florida businesses and organizations, including Dunkin’, History Miami Museum, Humane Society of Broward County, Florida Children’s Theatre, Le P’ti Club, Camp Live Oak and the Museum of Discovery & Science. Food will be available for purchase from Jake’s Drive-In Burgers, Waffle King, Rocked & Loaded, and Carlotta Gelati. Attendees will also enjoy live stage entertainment by local arts groups plus Tri-Rail’s “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent” show where young stars will show off their singing talents. The first-place winner will receive $500, a one-year contract inclusive of a photo shoot with composite cards courtesy of Posche Models & Talent and professional studio and music video recording sessions with Mike Soper Music. The 12 talented singers selected to compete are Erin Scott (Boynton Beach), Hannah Padilla (Miami), Isabella Nazzaro (Lake Worth), Julia Falcao (Palm Beach), Kai Bui (Fort Lauderdale), Keith Pecker (Boca Raton), Lana Lynn Anozar (Miramar), Leah Steiner (Boca Raton), Naliyah Pacheco (Hollywood), Sophia Victoria (Wellington), Tillia Ubeda (Lighthouse Point) and Victoria Johnson (Boca Raton). Eventgoers are encouraged to ride the train to the event with round-trip fares of just $5 and free for kids 12 and under on this day only. Plus, the first 200 ticketed riders to visit the Tri-Rail booth and present a valid Tri-Rail ticket dated February 4, 2023, will receive a welcome gift. Tri-Rail’s Free “Winter Wonderland” at Miami Airport Station

Tri-Rail’s “Winter Wonderland” presented by Herzog returns to Tri-Rail’s Miami Airport Station on Saturday, December 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free, family friendly event will feature interactive games, food trucks, holiday carolers, face painting, cookie decorating, bounce houses, a coloring station, festive costumed characters, photos with Tri-Rail’s mascot Conductor George Green, and a special appearance by Santa. Attendees will enjoy holiday tunes by the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music carolers, plus onstage live entertainment by Santa Claus and local singers who performed at Tri-Rail’s South Florida Kids Got Talent competition. Children and families will also enjoy interactive activities from History Miami Museum and the Museum of Discovery and Science, photo opportunities with costumed characters, including Tri-Rail’s Conductor George Green. Food will be available for purchase from food truck vendors offering tacos, pizza, ice cream and more. Eventgoers are encouraged to ride the train to the event. Tickets are $5 to ride Tri-Rail for the entire day or $2.50 for those who have a registered discount EASY Card. Kids under 5 years old always ride for free. Tri-Rail is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved annual event, "Ride & Play," on Saturday, April 27. South Florida residents and visitors are invited, once again, to ride Tri-Rail to experience its new service to MiamiCentral Station and explore downtown Miami with great attractions, shopping and dining destinations. Tri-Rail riders can enjoy fun on board the train along with the sights and sounds of downtown Miami and special offers from local partners. As part of Tri-Rail’s "Ride & Play," attendees will enjoy costumed characters, balloon artists and magicians on southbound trains P669 and P671.
