Jewish Family Home Care (JFHC) – a not-for-profit agency providing multi-reach, non-medical quality home care for Broward County, Florida seniors from all reaches of life and any faith – is pleased to announce new appointments to the organization’s Board of Directors.

Longtime JFHC supporter Michael A. Anidjar, an attorney and CPA of Anidjar Law, has been named chair of the organization’s Board of Directors. Prior to being named chair, Anidjar served on the Board since 2018.

JFHC is one of the largest providers of home health care in Broward County, in carrying out its charitable endeavors, the organization focuses on care and services for residents of Broward County, Florida, who are ill, impaired, disabled, have limited income, require companionship or respite services or are dependent on others for health or home related care, in order that they maintain the highest levels of self-sufficiency in their homes. Providing service to more than 400 clients, JFHC offers services such as home health aides, companions, housekeepers and certified nursing assistants. It delivers tailor-made home health care plans, with special consideration to patients’ physical and emotional needs, as well as their family’s budget.

Anidjar brings a wealth of experience and passion for community service to his new role as Board Chair. Since first joining the JFHC board in 2018, motivated by a desire to get involved and give back to the South Florida community, he has been eager to contribute to what he believes is an important mission: working with hundreds of home health care workers who provide essential services to clients from all reaches of life and faiths, with a large percentage being Holocaust survivors. He is deeply passionate about advocating for those who might be unable to speak or care for themselves. Anidjar’s dedication stems in part from his professional background in estate planning and probate.

“I am honored to serve as chair of JFHC’s Board of Directors,” said Anidjar. “JFHC is very dear to me, and I am proud to have supported and been a part of this extraordinary organization for many years. In my role, I look forward to helping the organization provide exemplary and vital services based on traditional Jewish ethics and values to South Florida seniors.”

Anidjar concentrates his legal practice on assisting and advising families and business owners on matters of estate and succession planning, tax and asset protection and probate and trust administration. Anidjar earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law center, his juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broward College of Law, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Florida and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. As both an attorney and CPA with an extensive background in law, tax and accounting, Anidjar is uniquely able to consult, advise, and represent both business and individual clients.

Anidjar resides in Hollywood with his wife Mara and their two children, with a third on the way. The Anidjars have been significant supporters of JFHC for many years and are active community members.

In addition to Anidjar being named the new Board Chair, the following community members are on the Board of Directors:
