Uchi Miami: Contemporary Japanese Dining in Wynwood
After years of being one of the most coveted dinner reservations in Wynwood, Uchi Miami is expanding into new territory: lunch. The acclaimed Japanese restaurant debuted its first-ever lunch service on September 2, serving guests daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.—a first not only for Uchi Miami but for any Uchi location.
A First for Uchi
Known for its inventive take on Japanese cuisine, Uchi has built a loyal following across cities like Austin, Dallas and Houston. The Miami outpost quickly became a hotspot for locals and travelers alike when it opened in 2021. Now, the team is taking that same spirit of creativity into an entirely new dining occasion.
According to Chef de Cuisine Diana Martinez, the move into lunch has been years in the making. “Our guests have asked for this, and after testing lunch at Uchibā in Austin and Uchiko in Houston, we felt confident we could deliver something truly special here,” she explains. “We wanted to ensure lunch would reflect the same quality, precision, and intention that define the Uchi experience.”
An Experience for Every Appetite
The new lunch service strikes a balance between quick and refined, designed to fit a range of midday moods. Highlights include:
- Uchi Lunch – A choice of entrée (Crispy Rice with Mushroom, Karaage, Walu Walu or Pork Katsu) paired with Gem Salad, Daily Temaki and two pieces of chef’s choice nigiri.
- Three-Course Lunch Prix-Fixe ($25) – Featuring a starter (like the fan-favorite Hama Chili), entrée and seasonal sorbet.
- Sushi Omakase ($45) – A chef-curated tasting that brings together Uchi Gem Salad, Temaki, Hama Chili, two pieces of nigiri and three pieces of sashimi.
- Chirashi Bowl ($28) – A vibrant medley of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, green onion, cucumber and sushi rice.
Dessert lovers can sweeten the experience with Uchi’s signature Fried Milk Sundae or seasonal sorbets for just $5. Guests looking to unwind can also enjoy $5 rotating drink specials daily.
The menu will also include Uchi’s signature dishes, available a la carte,such as hot and cool tastings, sushi, nigiri, sashimi, makimono and more. Further, Uchi continues to offer convenient to-go offerings like Sushi Boxes, available via DoorDash or curbside pickup.
