Iter Investments, in collaboration with MAPS ISRAEL, hosted an intimate Shabbat Fundraiser on Friday, March 1, in support of MAPS ISRAEL’s HealingOct7 Initiative, at a stunning private and magical house in Miami. In addition to the Shabbat dinner, attendees experienced an impactful panel to learn more about the HealingOct7 Initiative and the future of psychedelic medicine. Moderated by Dustin Robinson, Esq. CPA, managing principal of Iter Investments, panelists included Rick Doblin, executive director of MAPS; Keren Tzarfaty, executive director of MAPS ISRAEL; and Natalie Ginsburg, MAPS Global Impact Officer.
MAPS ISRAEL, which stands for the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies – Israel, is an Israeli nonprofit organization at the forefront of Israeli public education and research development on the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. MAPS ISRAEL launched its HealingOct7 Initiative, which is an MDMA group therapeutic study aimed at offering healing and support to survivors traumatized by the Oct. 7 attacks.
This groundbreaking initiative holds profound implications, tapping into a tradition of utilizing sacred medicines within groups and communities that spans far back in history. This study not only boasts an innovative delivery model but also proves to be highly cost-effective, operating with a budget of a mere fraction of the expenses typically associated with MDMA trials. Set to take place within leading hospitals in Israel, this group therapy clinical trial marks a significant step towards rendering life-altering treatments more financially viable and accessible.
The event was organized by the generous support of its sponsors including Iter Investments, Kahner Global, Mystic Ventures, Negev, Segal Trials and Uptown Research Institute.
The funds raised through this event support MAPS ISRAEL’s HealingOct7 Initiative. The donations will bring MAPS ISRAEL one step closer to healing those impacted by Oct. 7 and help work toward building peace in the Middle East.
