International Women’s Day is coming up Wednesday, March 8 and 1-800-Lucky is celebrating with their 3rd annual ‘Women in Hospitality' summit. The eventful day will kick off at 9 am with a Donation-based movement yoga class** led by Miami fitness guru Mimi Ghandour, founder of Mimi Yoga, and offer refreshments provided by 305 Squeezed a local women-owned small business. 100% of the class ticket sales will be donated to Lotus House - the largest shelter for women and children in the country, providing shelter, resources, and comprehensive support to those who need it. **Please bring your own yoga mat**

3rd Annual International Women’s Day ‘Women in Hospitality’

International Women’s Day is coming up Wednesday, March 8 and 1-800-Lucky is celebrating with their 3rd annual ‘Women in Hospitality' summit. The afternoon event will start at 5:45 pm with a live panel discussion moderated by James Beard Finalist, award-winning cookbook author, and chef Nicole Ponseca of Jeepney NYC and Miami will touch upon the issues affecting women in hospitality, how to be a good mentor, industry challenges and trends, and conquering challenges in both their personal and professional lives. Panel guests include Valerie Chang of Itimae and BSide Sushi, Sarah Starr of STARR Restaurants, and Gaby Chiriboga, owner of 1-800-Lucky. The panel will conclude with a ‘tiki happy hour’ in partnership with Brugal Rum and light bites from 1-800-Lucky vendors. 100% of ticket proceeds will benefit a local Miami women’s and children’s homeless shelter.

‘Make Waves’ with Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Vice Chairman of External Affairs for the Royal Caribbean Group and former CEO of Celebrity Cruises and CREW Miami in celebration of International Women’s Month. Lutoff-Perlo will share her inspiring four-decade leadership journey along with her successes and failures, and the meaningful lessons she learned along the way using her unique combination of smarts, heart and courage. These experiences enabled her to break the glass ceiling and leave behind a lasting legacy. Attendees will enjoy cocktails and appetizers, have time to ask questions and network with industry professionals, plus receive a complimentary copy of Lutoff-Perlo’s new book “Making Waves”.
