BUA's distinctive figurative style combines his classical training with his background in graffiti and breakdancing. The subjects of his paintings range from recognizable figures, such as Snoop Dogg, Tu Pac, and a Tribe Called Quest to anonymous people pulled from his memories, including his infamous DJ for which he has become best known. Each of BUA's subjects is ennobled within the urban landscape he paints and is often rendered with elongated limbs or hands, emphasizing the rhythm of the scene. BUA exhibits worldwide with a fan base that ranges from former presidents, actors, musicians, professional athletes, and dancers, to street kids and art connoisseurs.
BUA will be signing a print along with his book The Beat of Urban Art, in which he lays out his unique vision, melding urban rhythms, graffiti, and classical art training. This visually arresting book is about his life, his work, and the birth of Hip-Hop. As we follow BUA through his turbulent youth, navigating he streets and underground worlds of the urban jungle, we recognize the powerful evolution of BUA's distinct style—"Distorted Urban Realism.”

Sometimes being slow, small or weak can have its advantages in Survival of the Slowest, the newest summer traveling exhibit presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, running June 7 through September 5, at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS). Guests will get an in-depth look at the often-overlooked species that evolved to slow down as part of their survival strategy in a world where large, strong and fast animals are often at the top of the food chain.
The exhibit will feature 14 habitats with live animals (17 species) and plants. Guests will get an up-close look at wildlife with daily presentations featuring a sloth, a tarantula, tortoises, a hedgehog, a blue-tongued skink and more* via wildlife educators and MODS’ Life Sciences staff. Meet animals that have survived for millions of years despite being very slow and learn about the puzzling sides of evolution and adaptation. Discover the difference between warm- and cold-blooded species, explore why some animals need less food than others and see the unique ways they hide from predators.
This educational exhibit looks at the different survival strategies of various species. How can slow and steady win the race? Does bigger always mean better? What animals benefit from being weak rather than strong? This exhibit looks at the advantages and disadvantages of these different traits.
This world class exhibit is produced by Little Ray’s Nature Exhibitions in collaboration with the Canadian Museum of Nature. It is locally sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Little Ray’s Nature Centres is the largest exotic animal rescue organization in Canada with educational programs reaching more than one million Canadians each year. Most of the animals in this exhibition are rescues.

The exhibition was created and developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum, an Australian Government entity. Flying Fish manages the exhibit tour. THE COLOR PURPLE: The Musical
This community production of the 2015 Broadway Revival will feature talented students from Palm Beach County schools. With music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray, and book by Marsha Norman, it is based on the 1982 novel The Color Purple by Alice Walker and its 1985 film adaptation by Stephen Spielberg and starring Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey. The Broadway Revival of THE COLOR PURPLE: The Musical was headlined by Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo, and a movie version was released last year featuring Tariji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, and Fantasia Barrino. The student version slated for Arts Garage is being directed by Julius Wynn Jr.
THE COLOR PURPLE was produced on Broadway at the Broadway Theater by Oprah Winfrey, Scott Sanders, Roy Furman, and Quincy Jones.

The prestigious American Heritage Schools, the top-ranked PK3 through 12 college preparatory schools, are pleased to announce that its summer programs, including Day Camp and Summer Education, will be offered in-person or online during Summer 2024. The summer programs will run for nine weeks starting June 10 through August 9, 2024.
Summer Camp Programs:
American Heritage Schools’ summer camp programs are designed for children ages 3-13. American Heritage Schools provides Day Camp and specialty camps, including Robotics, Art, Science, Musical Theatre, Video Production and Sports camps. Specialty camps vary by campus. Each camper will enjoy age-appropriate activities supervised by American Heritage Schools’ highly qualified staff.
Cabins for ages 3-5 are co-ed, while ages 6-13 have separate cabins for boys and girls. All cabins, which are classrooms during the school year, are air conditioned and campers take pride in decorating them to reflect the cabin's theme.
To expand the number of recreational activities available to campers ages 8-13, age-appropriate field trips are scheduled. Bus transportation is provided and operated by American Heritage Schools, and all drivers are properly licensed and screened. All field trips are supervised by Off-Campus Directors as well as an appropriate number of counselors. Prior to starting camp, campers will receive a schedule of activities.
The summer camps are directed by state-certified teachers and college or high school students who have been carefully screened by American Heritage Schools. Many of the counselors are students or alumni of the school or have been campers or Counselors In Training (CITs) for a number of years. They are well-trained in safety and camp policies.

American Heritage Schools’ Summer Education offers an extensive course catalog of over 120 enrichment and reinforcement courses (three-week sessions or weekly seminars), specifically designed with student interest and engagement in mind, to students from Pre-K3 through 12th grade. Most of the classes are offered live online and/or in person at one of American Heritage Schools’ two 40-acre campuses. The Broward Campus is located in Plantation, Florida, and the Palm Beach Campus is located in Delray Beach, Florida.
