Broward Center for the Performing Arts Marti’s Bistro 201 SW Fifth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States
Master Sommelier and restauranteur George Miliotes, one of only 279 Master Sommeliers in the world, will host an intimate “blind” wine tasting at Marti’s Bistro at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, April 27 and Sunday, May 25 at 1:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy an afternoon of sipping six diverse varietals including renowned red and white wines while learning the art of blind tasting and hearing firsthand from Miliotes about his journey through the wine world and what it takes to become a Master Sommelier. Guests also will be immersed into the world of wine as they are guided through each varietal. Each glass will spark lively conversations, uncover vineyard stories and challenge every palate. In addition to the wines, guests will also enjoy a shareable charcuterie board amid breathtaking views of the New River and downtown Fort Lauderdale. Miliotes, who lives in Orlando, became a Master Sommelier by passing a series of rigorous examinations that require candidates to identify wines by taste, aroma and sight. A firm believer in lifelong learning and sharing his knowledge with others, Miliotes studies wine continuously, identifying the most interesting varietals through annual trips to wine growing regions from France to South Africa. Guests must be 21+ to attend. For tickets and additional information, visit www.browardcenter.org.
