The YAG 25th ANNIVERSARY GALA is a spectacular evening of dance featuring a stellar international cast from the world's leading dance companies. See electrifying young dance talent ("Stars of Tomorrow") share the stage with today's most celebrated dance stars ("Stars of Today").
Proceeds from the Gala will go directly toward scholarships for gifted young dance students who wish to pursue a professional career in dance - and to help YAG's efforts to help displaced Ukrainian dance students.
Program features two World Premieres; one by James Whiteside with American Ballet Theatre’s Isabella Boylston, Catherine Hurlin, and Jake Roxander, and live accompaniment by pianist Matthew Whitaker; a second World Premiere by Maria Konrad, with Alonzo King LINES Ballet’s Adji Cissoko and English National Ballet’s Vsevolod Maievskyi, with music by Karen LeFrak.
Stuttgart Ballet’s Elisa Badenes, Mackenzie Brown, and Gabriel Figueredo will make their New York stage debut’s, as will Mariinsky Ballet’s May Nagahisa and Paris Opera Ballet’s Bianca Scudamore.

Experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, History Fort Lauderdale, proud steward of our community’s past by making our heritage accessible and engaging to residents and visitors, will present the return of “Viva Fort Lauderdale: Celebrating Hispanic Art & Culture” from Friday, September 15 through Sunday, October 15. This fine art and sculpture exhibit celebrating the contributions of our multicultural Latin community will feature work from local artists including Leonardo Montoya (Colombia), Lifrancis Rojas (Venezuela), Isabel Perez Salazar (Venezuela) and Florencia Clement de Grandprey (Spain).
History Fort Lauderdale is proud to host a variety of engaging multicultural experiences, year-round. It seeks to bring awareness to the community through both traveling exhibits and multiple permanent exhibits including “Women Trailblazers,” “Fort Lauderdale – the Early Years,” “The African American Experience,” “Fashion & Musical Theatre,” “From Dugouts to Dream Yachts: the story of boatbuilding along the New River,” Seminole Arts & Culture,” “New River Archaeology,” and, most recently, “Take PRIDE, a retrospective on LGBTQ life in South Florida.” The nonprofit museum also hosts an artists’ collective collaborative space.
History Fort Lauderdale is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. with docent guided tours, daily, at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Group walking tours are available upon special request. Admission is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and $7 for students (through age 22 with a valid student ID). Admission is free for members, military, and children ages six and under. OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival Miami, internationally acclaimed as one of the largest LGBTQ+ cultural festivals in the world, is proud to feature “Sebastian” (Finland/UK, 2024) as its Centerpiece Film at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, April 24, at Silverspot Cinema Miami.
Writer/director Mikko Makela’s second feature offers an intriguing exploration of sex, identity, restraint, and abandon.
Max, is a 25-year-old freelance writer and aspiring novelist who seems well on his way to success in London. Yet by night, he finds a different kind of exhilaration as a sex worker with the pseudonym Sebastian, meeting men via an escorting platform. Max uses his experiences as Sebastian to fuel his stories and the worthy debut novel that he has been longing to write, finally seems within reach. As Max increasingly struggles to remain in control of a delicately balanced double-life, he must reckon with whether Sebastian is merely a writer’s tool in their quest for the ultimate sense of first-hand authenticity or whether something more is at stake. One of the many joys of Sebastian is the film is sex positive and explicit without feeling gratuitous.

This Earth Day 2024, Mana has organized free, open-to-public programming from Wednesday, April 24th - through Friday, April 26th from 4-7PM, daily. Combining eco-friendly fashion initiatives, upcycling activations, augmented reality and sustainable solution workshops and a fashion swap that all channel the general idea of sustainability solutions and drawbacks. On Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, guests will have the opportunity to join workshops that revolve around upcycling jeans and shoes while Friday afternoon, in partnership with Global Fashion Exchange and Taryn Hipwell, Founder of Beyond the Label, Co-Community Organizer for REMAKE for Florida, the community is invited to a fashion swap - where attendees can swap/exchange clothing, taking one piece for every piece donated - of great condition, clean items from their closets!
Mana Fashion Services will present a 3-day immersive event where guests can experience AR in its realest form, interacting with Microsoft 360 Hololens to learn about sustainable solutions in the fashion industry, presented by Arcadia Earth. This discussion and workshop will bring together an enlightening Virtual Reality moment with eco-conscious trailblazer and fashion industry veteran, Valentino Vettori, who will discuss verbatim issues within the fashion industry and resolutions on how to solve them.
From upcycling jeans and shoes to a fashion exchange event with donated clothing, read on to see all the workshops happening April 24-26 at Mana Fashion. In the spirit of sustainability, guests are encouraged to bring a pair of shoes to get embellished, painted or customized in a partnership with the Miami Shoe Museum. Additionally, Mana Fashion Services will have Miami-based Denim Upcycle Artist, Jesus Pineda, who will help turn guests' used jeans into something new on April 24th and 25th - from creating patchwork to turning long jeans into shorts - or maybe even making a denim tote bag! Guests will be invited to mix, mingle and bring up to 5 pieces of clothing they no longer want, but are in great condition (think of something one may gift to a friend). Writer/director Mikko Makela’s second feature offers an intriguing exploration of sex, identity, restraint, and abandon.
Max, is a 25-year-old freelance writer and aspiring novelist who seems well on his way to success in London. Yet by night, he finds a different kind of exhilaration as a sex worker with the pseudonym Sebastian, meeting men via an escorting platform. Max uses his experiences as Sebastian to fuel his stories and the worthy debut novel that he has been longing to write, finally seems within reach. As Max increasingly struggles to remain in control of a delicately balanced double-life, he must reckon with whether Sebastian is merely a writer’s tool in their quest for the ultimate sense of first-hand authenticity or whether something more is at stake. One of the many joys of Sebastian is the film is sex positive and explicit without feeling gratuitous.

Enjoy an evening of culture and conversation at Art of Hip Hop - Miami’s newest cultural exhibition space and world’s leading destination dedicated to celebrating Hip Hop’s visual artists. Join us for a talk with Mike Miller who will discuss his lengthy career shooting intimate portraits that chronicle the rise of the West Coast Hip Hop scene. Miller is slated to reveal ‘NWA Outtakes’ of the group’s 10th Anniversary album cover and release a brand-new poster featuring ‘1st Street Bridge,’ a candid moment as one of the Limited Car Club's Chevys on the iconic 1st Street Bridge.
This special discussion, poster release, and signing, set against the backdrop of a body of Miller's seminal work, will take place on Friday, April 26th from 6:30PM to 9:30PM moderated by Art Of Hip Hop Co-Founder, Alan Ket. These images, which have only been shared online, have never been exhibited in a gallery or museum setting, making this event a premiere viewing opportunity.
From his early work with jazz legends to his deep-rooted connection with hip-hop icons like Tupac Shakur, Eazy-E, and Snoop Dogg, Miller's photographs are a testament to a pivotal era in music history. With pieces held in esteemed collections such as The New York Public Library and The Smithsonian, Miller's influence and impact on the arts are undeniable. Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore the time, culture, and community that birthed West Coast rap, through discussions and insights from the visionary Mike Miller himself.

The exhibition was created and developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum, an Australian Government entity. Flying Fish manages the exhibit tour. It is locally sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
Experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.

Director Alesandro Haigh presents an intoxicating drama about sexy duo Antonio and Luca who are trying to pick up the pieces three years after their friend Denis’s passing. Luca, who has hit rock bottom, has been lucky enough to meet Tancredi, his current boyfriend, while Antonio has focused on his work, so much so that he is now a well-known chef in a pastry boutique. It is clear that there is still a special relationship between the two, but Antonio mistakes Luca's affection for something more and does everything he can to ruin his relationship with Tacrendi. Will Antonio learn to let go of the past in order to fully experience what the future has to offer him? With a beautiful cast, a beautiful story, and intoxicating bakery goods, “Mascarpone: The Rainbow Cake” builds off the original to a sexy and compelling sophomore feature.
