Celebrate Earth Day with The Diplomat Beach Resort: Join Us in Promoting Sustainability!
Ahead of Earth Day, The Diplomat Resort is pleased to showcase its dedication to Mother Earth and environmental sustainability through various initiatives and activities!
Annual goals set to reduce environmental footprint:
- Reduce energy use by 2.0%
- Reduce water use by 5.0%
- Reduce waste by 4.0%
Sustainability features at the resort include:
- Energy Efficiency
- Implementation of energy-efficient lighting and equipment
- Utilization of an energy management system in guest rooms and meeting spaces
- Team members trained on conserving energy
- Water Conservation:
- Installation of water-efficient showerheads
- Use of water-efficient landscaping
- Team members trained on conserving water
- Waste reduction:
- Establishment of a food donation program
- Implementation of a soap recycling program
- Introduction of paper reduction initiatives
- Team members trained on reducing waste
In addition to these efforts, The Diplomat Beach Resort is hosting Diplomat Team ESG Activities from April 22-25, including:
- Hollywood Beach Cleanup
- Seed Giveaway: The resort will gift seeds to all staff to plant at home
- Austin Hepburn Center Plant Donation: The Resort is partnering with the Hepburn Center to donate plants to 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students who use their facility
