As one of the few developers in the country devoted exclusively to early childhood education infrastructure, Fortec develops purpose-built schools that strengthen the communities they serve while meeting regulatory and educational standards. Chief Marketing Officer Gabriela Borja leads all of Fortec’s marketing efforts, shaping the brand so its mission resonates with families, school operators and community partners alike.

Borja’s professional journey has uniquely prepared her for this role. With a degree in psychology from Florida International University and an MBA in marketing from the University of Miami, she combines a deep understanding of people with the strategic skills needed to grow a brand. Her career spans real estate and advertising – including work with hospitality and automotive clients – giving her a broad foundation she now applies to Fortec’s specialized focus on early education.

Outside of work, Borja brings the same energy and creativity to her personal life. A mother of two, she balances family, wellness and personal interests, from cooking and nutrition to fitness, yoga and boxing. She also has a passion for fashion, interior design, travel and the arts—reflected in her family home in Key Biscayne, which she designed in collaboration with IG Workshop Interiors, and in her growing art collection.

In everything she does – whether it be through her heritage, her career or her personal pursuits – Gabriela Borja embodies the values celebrated during Hispanic Heritage Month: resilience, leadership and a deep commitment to family and community.
