The Nora Hotel Groundbreaking
On Thursday, November 14, BD Hotels and Nora District partners celebrated the groundbreaking of The Nora Hotel, a 201-key boutique hotel within West Palm Beach’s highly anticipated Nora District. The event began with guests enjoying a variety of refreshments from future retailers of the district, including juices from Celis Juice Bar and bagels from H&H Bagels, as well as musical entertainment. Key leaders including Ned Grace with NDT Development, Joe Furst with Place Projects, Richard Born with BD Hotels as well as West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James and Erick Garnica with Discover The Palm Beaches delivered opening remarks to commemorate the groundbreaking. To mark the occasion, guests were then led to the future hotel site for a ceremonial groundbreaking photo opportunity.
About The Nora Hotel
The Nora Hotel is a 201-key boutique hotel within The Nora District, a dynamic, 40-acre mixed-use pedestrian-friendly destination in downtown West Palm Beach. With interiors by New York-based Gachot Studios and architectural design by Stantec, The Nora Hotel draws inspiration from the Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival styles of 20th-century architect Addison Mizner, paying homage to this signature Palm Beach aesthetic with arched passages, rich colors, natural materials and intricately patterned tiles and mosaics throughout the property. Pastis, the classic New York City Parisian-style brasserie, created by James Beard Award-winning restaurateur Stephen Starr (STARR Restaurants), will be The Nora Hotel’s signature restaurant. Additional rooftop amenities include a pool, two bars and private cabanas.
