Terra, One Thousand Group and Major Food Group break ground on Villa Miami
Terra (led by David Martin), One Thousand Group (led by Kevin Venger, Louis Birdman and Michael Konig) and Major Food Group (Co-Founders Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Miami partner Alex Pirez) celebrate the official groundbreaking of Villa Miami, a visionary luxury tower marking the first condominium branded by the renowned hospitality powerhouse. Uniting the most revered and respected legacy developers for the first time, the 650-foot tower is set to rise above East Edgewater’s exclusive bayfront. The copper-clad, 56-story masterpiece introduces a limited collection of just 70 half- and full-floor residences, creating an unrivaled living experience rooted in service, cuisine and design.
“Our thesis for Villa Miami merges world-class design, culinary excellence and the finest living standards,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “This project elevates the luxury condo market while embracing a low-density approach that enhances exclusivity. With just 70 residences, Villa Miami offers our residents an elevated sense of privacy, allowing them to experience the feeling of ‘homes in the sky’ where the social spaces serve as natural extensions of their personal living spaces.”
The project is being brought to life by Moss Construction, the award-winning firm behind Five Park Miami Beach, successfully delivered on schedule last month. Seawall work for Villa Miami started in September and the tower is slated for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027.
“This groundbreaking marks a significant milestone in our entry into the luxury residential market,” said Jeff Zalaznick, Co-founder, Major Food Group. “Every aspect of this project reflects our shared vision and meticulous attention to detail. From the amenities and culinary offerings to the design elements and even the smallest touches, like bathroom sinks and kitchen finishes, our involvement has been deeply personal. This is more than just a building—it’s a celebration of MFG’s passion, precision and unmatched quality.”
Designed by ODP Architects, Villa Miami will serve as an architectural landmark within the East Edgewater neighborhood, offering direct access to Miami’s most coveted cultural, shopping and dining destinations, including the Miami Design District, Wynwood and Midtown. With panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach, the residences provide unparalleled connectivity to the city’s vibrant energy, while being just minutes away from Miami Beach.
“We’re thrilled to break ground on Villa Miami with an extraordinary team of designers, architects, builders and partners,” said Kevin Venger of One Thousand Group. “Working with Vicky Charles and Kurt Dannwolf at One Thousand Museum, redefined Miami’s ultra-luxury condo landscape and architectural skyline. Now, we’re excited to collaborate with both of them to create another landmark that will elevate the Edgewater neighborhood and Biscayne Bay.”
At the heart of Villa Miami lies the creative genius of Major Food Group, the driving force behind globally renowned destinations like CARBONE, ZZ’s Club and Dirty French, which has redefined Miami’s culinary landscape. MFG’s first-ever residential project delivers an unmatched hospitality experience, expertly curating resident-only amenities that embody the group’s signature style of luxurious decadence and white-glove service.
The result is The Copper Club, an exclusive three-floor private club for residents that comprises the building’s entire amenity suite and creates a curated lifestyle. The club boasts private dining rooms, lounges, a screening room, a hair salon and more, while the rooftop helipad and lounge, elevated pool deck, yacht club and wellness facilities complete MFG’s first residents-only club offering. Adding to the allure, Villa Miami will be home to a new MFG waterfront restaurant on the ground floor, where residents will enjoy priority seating.
Setting a new benchmark in interior design, Villa Miami is the first foray into a collaboration between hospitality geniuses Major Food Group and interior designer Vicky Charles of Charles & Co. who collaborated closely to perfect the residential and hospitality environments. Villa Miami marks Charles’ debut Miami condominium project, renowned for her exceptional work with A-list celebrity clients and bespoke estates across the globe. Drawing inspiration from mid-century Italian villas, the flow of the bay outside and Miami’s colorful energy. The interiors flow with warm woods, curving furniture and ambient lighting.
Developers Terra, led by David Martin, and One Thousand Group are behind some of the city’s most iconic residential towers, from recently delivered Five Park Miami Beach and Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove to One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid.
