Oyster Yachts, the iconic British builder of the world’s finest luxury bluewater sailing yachts, has unveiled plans for its most ambitious model to date: the Oyster 805. Revealed during an exclusive private event at London’s historic St Katharine Docks on May 1st, the new 80-foot bluewater cruiser is crafted for long-range exploration and built to cross oceans with confidence.
Designed in collaboration with longtime partner, Humphreys Yacht Design, the Oyster 805 introduces the next generation of bluewater cruising. Positioned between the brand’s existing 745 and 885 Series II models, the new yacht features sweeping hull windows, flexible interior configurations, and optional upgrades including a private office and day bar. The first hull is expected to launch in 2027 and will be built to order, reflecting Oyster’s bespoke craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The launch of the 805 marks a defining moment for Oyster, coming off a record-breaking year of sales and financial growth. Further cementing this momentum is the appointment of Torsten Müller-Ötvös, former CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, as Strategic Advisor. Known for transforming Rolls-Royce into a modern luxury powerhouse, Müller-Ötvös brings invaluable experience as Oyster Yachts continues to refine their brand and global reach.
To complement its new fleet offerings, Oyster also announced the Explorers Club and Bluewater Academy—two new initiatives designed to further elevate and enrich the ownership journey. The Explorers Club offers curated, fully supported sailing expeditions to additional remote destinations, while the Bluewater Academy provides practical, onboard training to both novice and seasoned sailors, tailored to each participant’s unique sailing aspirations. Oyster Yachts also revealed the Oyster 595 Series II, a refined take on their best-selling 60-foot model, now featuring enhanced living spaces, larger seascape windows, and upgraded onboard technologies.
Together, these announcements signal a new era for Oyster Yachts—one defined by innovation, craftsmanship, and a commitment to ocean adventure.
