Heroes: A Benefit Concert for the Blind and Visually Impaired

American Heritage Schools, in partnership with Lighthouse of Broward, presents its fourth annual Heroes event, a fundraising concert and auction to benefit the blind and visually impaired in Broward County, at American Heritage Schools’ Center for the Arts auditorium, on Saturday, May 4 from 5-8 p.m. The event will be a speakeasy-themed soirée featuring singer Mitch Franco. The Lighthouse of Broward is the only private, non-profit organization in Broward County that provides comprehensive educational, rehabilitation, and counseling services to blind and visually impaired children and adults. Through their work, the Lighthouse of Broward enhances the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired in Broward County and empowers them to live independent, healthy, employed, and fulfilling lives. All of the funds from the benefit concert and auction will ensure that the Lighthouse of Broward can continue to provide vital services to over 2,590 people throughout Broward County each year. Attendees can enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening and participate in a live and silent auction benefiting the Lighthouse of Broward. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best Roaring Twenties ensemble. The presenting sponsor for this year’s event is American Heritage Schools. Gunther Motors is the gold sponsor. American Heritage Schools, the top-ranked PK3 through 12 college preparatory schools, are pleased to announce that its summer programs, including Day Camp and Summer Education, will be offered in-person or online during Summer 2024. The summer programs will run for nine weeks starting June 10 through August 9, 2024. Summer Camp Programs: American Heritage Schools’ summer camp programs are designed for children ages 3-13. American Heritage Schools provides Day Camp and specialty camps, including Robotics, Art, Science, Musical Theatre, Video Production and Sports camps. Specialty camps vary by campus. Each camper will enjoy age-appropriate activities supervised by American Heritage Schools’ highly qualified staff. The summer camps are directed by state-certified teachers and college or high school students who have been carefully screened by American Heritage Schools. Summer Education: American Heritage Schools’ Summer Education offers an extensive course catalog of over 120 enrichment and reinforcement courses (three-week sessions or weekly seminars), specifically designed with student interest and engagement in mind, to students from Pre-K3 through 12th grade. Most of the classes are offered live online and/or in person at one of American Heritage Schools’ two 40-acre campuses. The Broward Campus is located in Plantation, Florida, and the Palm Beach Campus is located in Delray Beach, Florida. American Heritage Schools Announces Nine-Week Summer Programs Including Day Camp and Summer Education, June 10 through August 9, 2024

The prestigious American Heritage Schools, the top-ranked PK3 through 12 college preparatory schools, are pleased to announce that its summer programs, including Day Camp and Summer Education, will be offered in-person or online during Summer 2024. The summer programs will run for nine weeks starting June 10 through August 9, 2024. Summer Camp Programs: American Heritage Schools’ summer camp programs are designed for children ages 3-13. American Heritage Schools provides Day Camp and specialty camps, including Robotics, Art, Science, Musical Theatre, Video Production and Sports camps. Specialty camps vary by campus. Each camper will enjoy age-appropriate activities supervised by American Heritage Schools’ highly qualified staff. Cabins for ages 3-5 are co-ed, while ages 6-13 have separate cabins for boys and girls. All cabins, which are classrooms during the school year, are air conditioned and campers take pride in decorating them to reflect the cabin's theme. To expand the number of recreational activities available to campers ages 8-13, age-appropriate field trips are scheduled. Bus transportation is provided and operated by American Heritage Schools, and all drivers are properly licensed and screened. All field trips are supervised by Off-Campus Directors as well as an appropriate number of counselors. Prior to starting camp, campers will receive a schedule of activities. The summer camps are directed by state-certified teachers and college or high school students who have been carefully screened by American Heritage Schools. Many of the counselors are students or alumni of the school or have been campers or Counselors In Training (CITs) for a number of years. They are well-trained in safety and camp policies.
