The team behind some of South Florida’s most popular Japanese restaurants is expanding to Plantation. This July, hospitality veterans Tina Wang and Jason Zheng will open their second Saiko-i Sushi Lounge & Hibachi in Broward at the Shoppes at Broward, offering a full-scale Japanese dining experience that combines teppanyaki theatrics, curated sushi and sleek, lounge-style design.

At 6,500 square feet, the new location is the restaurant’s largest, offering a layout designed for both high-energy hibachi tables and more intimate sushi bar moments. The interior blends warm wood textures, bold accent lighting and art-forward interiors to create an upscale yet approachable high-style atmosphere. Add an outdoor patio, and the setup easily shifts from weeknight dinners to weekend gatherings.

“As Saiko-i expands, Plantation offers the perfect backdrop to introduce our signature blend of fresh sushi, interactive hibachi and elevated hospitality to a community eager for something new and exciting,” said Wang. “Our hibachi tables bring the energy of a live culinary performance, while our sushi bar showcases creativity and precision.”

The menu showcases both showmanship and technique. Hibachi diners can expect the full experience of knife skills, flames and flair, with entrée choices including Filet Mignon, Chicken & Shrimp or Surf & Turf-style combinations like Lobster Tail & Steak. Each order comes with miso soup, salad, grilled vegetables, shrimp appetizer and rice (with a fried rice upgrade available for $3).

Sushi fans will find traditional nigiri and sashimi as well as standout specialty rolls like the Lobster Seabass, topped with baked seabass and avocado or the Millionaire Roll with king crab and spicy mayo. Chef’s choice omakase platters and sashimi assortments are also available.

Saiko-i also makes midday dining worth the trip. Weekday lunch specials begin under $14, and the restaurant’s weekend bottomless brunch offers poke bowls, brunch entrées and unlimited mimosas or bloody marys. Deals run throughout the week, including Monday half-off kids meals, Tuesday sushi specials and Wednesday bottle discounts on wine and sake. Happy hour takes place twice daily, once in the afternoon and again at 9 p.m., with discounted drinks and appetizers. Thursday nights are reserved for Ladies Night, with exclusive pricing from 6 p.m. to close. For private parties and special events, Saiko-i offers customizable catering, sushi platters and mobile hibachi options that bring the live-cooking experience straight to any event.
