Katie & Ruben Gutierrez | A Duo Redefining Nostalgic Yet Fresh Design

Katie and Ruben Gutierrez, the creative minds behind ERREZ Design Studio, bring a unique blend of storytelling, architecture, and design to their projects. With their shared goal of transforming how people experience interior design, Katie and Ruben craft spaces that are both functional and deeply personal, filled with elements that reflect their clients’ past, present, and future aspirations. 

Katie, born and raised in Miami, began her creative journey through storytelling and debate before discovering her passion for design. After earning a master’s in architecture from the University of Florida, she worked with MC Harry, one of Miami’s oldest architecture firms. Her desire to create meaningful, lasting experiences through design led her to co-found ERREZ Design Studio with Ruben. Katie’s approach to design focuses on connecting with clients on a personal level, incorporating their unique memories and traits into spaces that feel both fresh and nostalgic. 

Ruben’s passion for building things began at a young age and naturally evolved into a love for architecture and design. After completing both his Bachelor’s and master’s in architecture from Florida International University, he gained experience in the luxury design market under renowned architect Alison Spear. Ruben’s unique ability to blend architecture, art, and interior design led him to co-found ERREZ with Katie, where together they create designs that are approachable yet sophisticated, aiming to change the perception that great design is out of reach. 

Together, Katie and Ruben’s work reflects their belief that good design should elevate everyday life, make tasks ceremonial, and connect people to their past while helping them aspire for the future.
