Billionaire Jorge Pérez, one of the country’s most influential real estate developers and founding chairman of Related Group, recently hosted an intimate cocktail reception at the St. Regis Aspen Resort to introduce The St. Regis Resort & Residences, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale to Aspen’s top real estate brokers and tastemakers.
Joining Mr. Pérez were co-developer Kenny Tate of Tate Capital and Daniel Teixeira, vice president of sales for the development at Douglas Elliman.
Guests enjoyed craft cocktails and light bites in an atmosphere reflecting the timeless elegance of the St. Regis brand, while getting a first look at the $2 billion development spanning 40 acres, transforming Fort Lauderdale’s historic Bahia Mar marina.
Plans for the tropical sanctuary include elevating the waterfront with a flagship hotel, branded residences, fine dining, retail, a private beach club, and a reimagined megayacht marina featuring slips up to 350 feet. As part of the vision, the project will introduce a true waterfront promenade (unlike anything currently in the city) designed to connect Bahia Mar with the broader community through a scenic path that will encircle the property and bring new life to the shoreline.
