Long overlooked by the spa world, individuals undergoing cancer treatment are being embraced with new and expert-led, compassionate care. With millions of people battling cancer worldwide, a growing number of hotel spas are stepping up to redefine wellness through science-backed oncology programs—designed to soothe emotional strain and ease physical side effects of chemotherapy, radiation, and long-term skin damage.

From restorative facials to the healing power of touch, these properties below are helping to expand what wellness means for a community long left out of the conversation.

  • World’s First Hotel to Offer The Biome Facial: Jumeirah, a global leader in luxury hospitality, has launched a new global collaboration with GROUND Wellbeing, the Irish skincare brand recognized for its natural and sustainable ingredients. Initially launched earlier this year at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, GROUND Wellbeing will be introduced across Jumeirah’s global portfolio. Jumeirah Carlton Tower is the first hotel to offer The Biome Facial, part of the Cancer Care Rituals offering, designed to soothe and support the skin microbiome, created for those going through chemotherapy. Created in the lush landscapes of Ireland, GROUND’s treatments focus on sincere wellbeing, addressing symptoms associated with menopause, gut health, cancer care and burnout.
  • Dubai’s Oncology Wellness Haven:  Opened earlier this year on the most exclusive peninsula in Dubai,  Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab’s Talise Spa unfolds over three floors each room with a private terrace. The 386-key ultra-luxury destination features an avant-garde super yacht-inspired design and a dedicated program on oncology support for those undergoing chemotherapy like a cellular revival facial promoting DNA repair harnessing the power of plant stem cells and tapping into epigenetics to activate sirtuins “longevity proteins”
  • Caribbean’s Oncology Aesthetics Program: Saint Lucia’s The Landings Resort and Spa has launched the Caribbean’s newest Oncology Aesthetics Program in partnership with the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation—a non-profit dedicated to expert-led education programs for spa professionals navigating the complexities of cancer. Performed by oncology-trained therapists, the resort offers pre-and-post radiation comfort, scalp treatment, and more.
