Heart of the Game Donates AEDs to Talented Teen Club in Celebration of American Heart Month
In celebration of American Heart Month, commemorated annually during February, Heart of the Game, Inc. is pleased to announce the donation of two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to the Talented Teen Club, a nonprofit organization based in Palm Beach County, Florida, that is dedicated to providing at-risk young people with the resources and support they need to build their self-esteem and discover their talents.
The donation took place on Monday, Feb. 26 at GOLDLAW, the Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb, P.A. in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Heart of the Game is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit committed to saving lives by providing free AEDs to the community and athletic associations across Florida to ensure the safety of student-athletes and others who may experience Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). In collaboration with its partners, Heart of the Game strategically places AEDs in public locations and hosts educational programs to train individuals on their use. Schools, community clubs and athletic facilities are welcome to apply for a free AED through the program.
Heart of the Game was founded in 2016 by attorney and President Craig Goldenfarb. When Goldenfarb’s father almost died from sudden cardiac arrest, Craig was only 17 years old. Luckily, his father survived after having a triple bypass operation. However, the importance of a quick response to cardiac failure became apparent early in Goldenfarb’s life, due to his father’s near-death experience.
Talented Teen Club is now the fastest-growing club in South Florida, offering free tutoring, mentorships, social activities, athletic programs, vocational courses, free hygiene products, and a range of other innovative services and programs to over 1,000 local youth annually. The donation to the Talented Teen Club highlights the importance of creating a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
