LIME Fresh Mexican Grill
1439 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL, United States
Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is serving up something unexpected this summer: pizza. Starting July 1, the Florida-born fast-casual brand will introduce its first-ever Mexican pizza category with two limited-time menu items that highlight fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and a no-shortcuts approach. The Tabañero Hot Honey Chicken pizza features housemade roja, mixed cheese, grilled Tabañero hot honey chicken, pickled onions, avocado ranch, cotija cheese, and fresh cilantro for a spicy-sweet punch. The Panthers Pizza, inspired by Lime Fresh’s partnership with the Florida Panthers and their recent Stanley Cup wins, offers a more traditional take with roja, mixed cheese, choice of ground beef or grilled chicken, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeño, lime crema, shredded romaine, cotija, and cilantro. Both pizzas are available through September 29 at $13.99 with a soft drink. Alongside the pizza launch, Lime Fresh will debut a co-branded hot sauce bar featuring Tabañero’s lineup, including Garlic Habañero, Key Lime, XXX, Bourbon Peach, Original, and Extra Hot sauces.
Rounding out the summer lineup is the return of the fan-favorite ‘Merica Margarita, a festive red, white, and blue frozen cocktail layered with berry, lime, and blue raspberry. All frozen margaritas will be $10 throughout July, with a special $7.04 price on Friday, July 4 for the ‘Merica Margarita, valid for dine-in and takeout for guests 21 and older. This exciting summer rollout reflects Lime Fresh’s commitment to fresh ingredients, local partnerships, and delivering bold flavors that keep customers coming back.

Richardson Park
1937 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors, FL, United States
Plays of Wilton (POW!), in collaboration with the City of Wilton Manors, Florida, proudly announces the final production of its 2025 POW! In The Park series: Mart Crowley’s groundbreaking play, “The Boys in the Band.” This event is generously supported by a Festival Sponsorship from the Broward County Cultural Division and POW! In The Park founding sponsor, The Warten Foundation.
First produced in 1968, “The Boys in the Band” is a searing, witty, and unflinchingly honest portrait of gay life pre-Stonewall America. Set in a New York City apartment during a birthday party, the evening unravels into biting humor, barbed banter, and painful revelations as nine gay men confront insecurities, desires, and the stigma of living in a society that rejects them. What begins as playful camaraderie descends into emotional warfare, exposing loneliness, self-loathing, and the deep need for acceptance. Celebrated and controversial upon its debut, the play endures as a landmark in LGBTQ+ theater, blending sharp comedy with raw human truth, offering a glimpse into the costs of oppression and the resilience of community.
Playwright Mart Crowley once remarked, “The emotional aspects of the play survive, and still connect with an audience today…The play is about stripping away pretenses and facing the music.” Tony Award-winning director Joe Mantello, who helmed the Broadway revival, added: “There’s a cost of oppression, and “The Boys in the Band” has always been a cautionary tale about the price that you pay when you surrender to oppression.”
POW! Artistic Director Ronnie Larsen, who directs this production, reflects on its timeliness: “The Boys in the Band is the final production of our season in Wilton Manors Parks. What should be a cautionary ‘history’ play is unfortunately extremely relevant in our current society. I wanted to bring our own interpretation of this classic LGBTQ+ work to life in the Manor House at Richardson Park and not just refresh what other companies have produced in the past.”
The production features returning POW! alumni Michael Gillespie, Geoff Freitag, Jeremy Quinn, Matthew Almeida, Brian Bloomer, Seth Trucks, Zack Crouch and Greg Schuh. Making his POW! debut is Doriyan Caty. The cast is directed by Ronnie Larsen, with a creative team that includes Jack Stein (producer), Joseph Guidetti (associate producer), Tim Bowman (costume designer), Barry Capell (stage manager), Jeff Walters (POW! managing director), and Ronnie Larsen (costume & sound design).
All performances will begin at 7 p.m. with a running time of approximately 90 minutes and no intermission. For tickets, please visit www.playsofwilton.com.

On display September 12th – November 2nd
Exhibit Opening Reception:
Friday, September 12 | 6:00 PM
Step onto the field where identity, resilience, and camaraderie take center stage. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood
1 Seminole Way, Hollywood, FL, United States
The YMCA of South Florida is making waves this fall with its annual Beach Ball Gala, themed Olympian Tides, on Saturday, October 4 beginning with The Gathering at 6:30, followed by The Feast and continuing with The Bacchanalia at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood to support the Y’s water safety and drowning prevention initiatives.
The Beach Ball Gala brings together more than 600 passionate community leaders, advocates, and supporters to raise critical funds that help save lives. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, live musical entertainment, dancing and a live and silent auction during this enchanting evening filled with inspiration, entertainment and purpose.
All proceeds support financial assistance for the Y’s aquatics programs, which include free and subsidized swim lessons for underserved youth, wet and dry safety lessons, Swim for Jenny and resources for families to prevent drowning tragedies. With Florida still leading the nation in child drownings, the Y is committed to making sure every child and family has access to swim lessons, education and safe aquatic experiences, regardless of their background or ability to pay. The YMCA also highlights underwater hypoxic blackout which occurs when someone who is playing breath holding games experiences accidental blackout, leading to rapid drowning. This can happen to anyone of any age and is an even bigger risk for strong swimmers.
