But don’t sweat it — Delilah Miami, the Magic City’s premier modern-day supper club, is bringing back the best of Y2K with the launch of Throwback Thursdays – a high-energy weekly event celebrating the era’s greatest hits, electric retro-inspired cocktails and pop-culture trivia. Delilah’s signature first-class dinner and a show gets a full Y2K makeover, complete with a live band playing the best ‘00s classics (think: Britney Spears & *NSync plus all the singalong favorites), alongside dancers in hot-pick, ‘2000s-inspired costumes. Some songs just never lose their magic, so expect a night of dance floor throwbacks designed to bring you straight back to the time of rhinestone-studded flip phones and Myspace top friends. No throwback night is complete without a drinks menu to match. The lineup includes neon-hued cocktails straight out of the 2000s. Try the Y2K Cosmopolitan, a flirty blend of Ketel One Vodka, Cointreau, lime and cranberry juice (Carrie Bradshaw would approve!). Or go bold with The Incredible Hulk, a blend of Hypnotiq and Hennessy Cognac. For a caffeinated pick-me-up, sip on This Jäger is Bomb, featuring Jägermeister Cold Brew, or indulge in the Adiós, Delilah, a mix of Ketel One Vodka, El Tesoro Blanco Tequila, Tanqueray Gin, Bacardi White Rum, Blue Curaçao, lemon, Sprite and orange boba. And of course, no early 2000s night would be complete without Strawberry Jello Shots. At Delilah’s Throwback Thursdays, they’re on the house… Who doesn’t love a taste of college nostalgia?! Who in your crew remembers the most about the start of reality TV, MTV countdowns and those AIM away messages? With a rotating set of questions every week, Delilah’s Pop Culture Trivia puts your 2000s knowledge to the test with questions quizzing you on those iconic moments we all know and love (think TV shows like The Simple Life or TRL). Whether competing for bragging rights or simply reliving the golden age of Sidekick phones, the game is the ultimate throwback challenge. So, dig out your skinny jeans, grab your crew, and head to Delilah’s Throwback Thursday, every Thursday night from 7 p.m.-late, for all the early 2000s vibes. Just a heads-up—no photos allowed! They’re keeping it old-school, back when memories lived in our flip phones and not the cloud. It’s all about the experience. Reservations are available via SevenRooms.

Plays of Wilton presents Dan Clancy’s “The Timekeepers”

The Foundry 2306 N Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors, FL, United States
Plays of Wilton (POW!) reunites with Wilton Manors playwright Dan Clancy and director Bruce Linser for the South Florida revival of Clancy’s award winning The Timekeepers, opening Thursday March 27, 2025 and running through Sunday April 27, 2025. Prepare for an unforgettable evening of drama, resilience, and human connection as POW! brings you The Timekeepers - an internationally acclaimed play that has captivated audiences worldwide. The play takes place in a Nazi concentration camp, and tells the deeply moving story of an unlikely bond between a Jewish prisoner and a homosexual inmate under the ever watchful eye of their Kapo. Through struggle and survival, their evolving relationship delivers a powerful mix of tension, humor, and heart. Critics have praised the play for its masterful storytelling and emotional depth, winning several Carbonell Awards and making it a must-see theatrical event. Following the 2023 sold-out run of Dan Clancy and Lynn Portas’ musical 108 Waverly, also directed by Bruce Linser, POW! is excited to reunite with this incredible creative team for a revival of this riveting drama not seen in South Florida for 12 years. Regarding his work, Dan Clancy has said, “… the play questions the concept of communities - social, religious, racial, or sexual. They often provide support for their members. But the walls which contain this support can also prevent the community's members from seeing other people's humanity.” This is Bruce Linser’s third collaboration with POW! after directing 108 Waverly and performing in the world premiere of Erin K. Considine’s Family Tree. Bruce states, “While The Timekeepers is set during the Holocaust, it’s more a story about how we divide ourselves from one another – ‘us vs. them.’ It’s about us, and whether or not we’re able to see beyond our differences, and stand together against hatred and bigotry. And that message is more important now than it’s ever been.” The Timekeepers has been seen in over 13 countries and 22 cities across the world, including throughout Israel. “The new production of American playwright Dan Clancy’s The Timekeepers , is an essential roller-coaster journey, which manages to strike and shock at nearly every turn.” The Pink Times (Tel Aviv), December 26, 2002. “[The Timekeepers] is subtle. But then, that is the beauty of this play - the horror of the situation somehow lies beneath the day to day minutiae with which the characters content themselves.” The Stage (London), September 7, 2005. “By presenting a view of three very different victims of the Nazis, and not the Nazis themselves, playwright Dan Clancy’s play is powerfully effective, leaving an enormous impression that requires days to digest.” The Sunday Independent (South Africa), July 18, 2010. [The Timekeepers] “it’s one of the best dramas seen in the region this year with no asterisks or qualifiers.” “… [Clancy] has crafted a strong script rife with irony. He ingeniously posits a world where time is a precious, fragile and tenuous commodity, yet a place where time has seemingly come to a halt out from fear what the next tick of the clock might bring.” Florida Theater on Stage (Fort Lauderdale), October 27, 2013. The production brings many fresh faces to POW!’s Foundry Theater. The cast, John Brodsky, Christopher Daftsios, Seth Trucks and stage manager Katelyn Bourke are all making their debuts at The Foundry. With the exception of costume designer, Tim Bowman, who is fresh off of POW! in the Park’s A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, the balance of the design and production team are all new to POW!. We welcome Cindi Blank Taylor (Scenic Design), John Shamburger (Scenic Painter), Jameelah Bailey (Props/Set Dressing), Kirk Bookman (Lighting Design), Roger Arnold (Sound Design) Kathryn Johnston (Dialect/Intimacy) and Ted de Chatelet (Fight Director) to The Foundry. The twenty performances of The Timekeepers run Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 3 pm, at The Foundry, 2306 N Dixie Hwy in Wilton Manors from March 27 through April 27, 2025. The approximate running time is 1 hour 40 minutes. For tickets, please visit www.playsofwilton.com.

LIAIGRE MIAMI X ATELIERS COURBET: A HARMONIOUS COLLABORATION

LIAIGRE MIAMI 137 NE 40th Street, Miami, FL, United States
Liaigre, the French Maison known for its rigorously restrained palette and rarefied interiors, has quietly launched a new collaboration at its Miami showroom with a partner that might surprise some: Ateliers Courbet, the art-world favorite known for spotlighting makers at the intersection of design and craft. The collaboration introduces the work of South African ceramicist Katherine Glenday, whose delicate, hand-thrown vessels now punctuate the space with soft color and texture—disrupting (in the most elegant way) the house’s signature minimalism. The idea was sparked by Melanie Courbet, founder of Ateliers Courbet, whose curatorial vision has long focused on the work of artisans steeped in centuries-old methods. What’s intriguing here is the restraint: this is not a flashy installation, but rather a slow, intentional layering of artistry into a space that’s already quietly iconic. It opens up questions about what luxury looks like now—and how materials and process are becoming just as important as silhouette or scale. We invite you to experience this dialogue between Liaigre’s timeless design and Atelier Courbet’s celebration of artisanal mastery, with an exhibition featuring Katherine Glenday’s work on display at Liaigre Miami through May 2025.

Island City Stage, Brévo Theatre and GableStage present Fat Ham

Island City Stage 2304 N. Dixie Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States
Island City Stage in Wilton Manors, Brévo Theatre in Pompano Beach and GableStage in Coral Gables will present their collaborative production of Fat Ham, the 2022 Pulitzer Prize-winning play by James Ijames, this spring. This first-time historic partnership among three of South Florida's leading theatre companies, made possible by a generous $250,000 grant from The Warten Foundation, will bring this imaginative and witty reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet that tackles identity, belonging and generational issues, to both Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Fat Ham will premiere at Island City Stage from April 3 – May 4 and then moves to GableStage from May 16 - June 15, 2025. Fat Ham transforms Shakespeare's Hamlet into an over-the-top tale set in a North Carolina BBQ pit. With a twist, the Danish castle becomes a Southern backyard barbecue, and Juicy, a Black, gay southern kid, navigates familial legacies and a ghostly demand for vengeance. The clash of generations unfolds in this award-winning adaptation, exploring the complexities of identity and violence. Jesse Green, theater critic for The New York Times wrote, “That Fat Ham achieves its happy, even joyful, ending honestly, without denying the weight of forces that make Hamlet feel just as honest, is a sign of how capacious and original the writing is, growing the skin of its own necessity instead of merely burrowing into Shakespeare’s.” Fat Ham is directed by T.M. Pride and stars Toddra Brunson (Rabby), Henry Cadet (Juicy), Melvin Huffnagle (Rev/Papa), Cassidy Joseph (Opal), Denzel McCausland (Larry), Mikhael Mendoza (Tio) and April Nixon (Tedra). Fat Ham is presented by an arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. The play runs for one hour and 35 minutes with no intermission. Individual show tickets at Island City Stage start at $43. A Mimosa Sunday Brunch sponsored by Misty Daniels will take place on April 13 with tickets at $55. As part of this unique presentation, the theatre companies will also offer a series of fun cookouts and community conversations to engage audiences. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.islandcitystage.org, call (954) 928-9800 or email boxoffice@islandcitystage.org.

Elephants: Giants of the Desert at the AutoNation® IMAX® 3D Theater at the Museum of Discovery and Science

AutoNation® IMAX® 3D Theater Museum of Discovery and Science 401 SW 2nd St., Fort Lauderdale,, FL, United States
Follow Little Foot and her protective herd in Elephants: Giants of the Desert, a larger-than-life 3D documentary film about a rare group of elephants in the Namib Desert, now playing at the AutoNation® IMAX® Theater at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS). Created by the filmmakers of popular giant screen titles Sea Lions: Life by A Whisker and Serengeti: Journey to the Heart of Africa, Elephants: Giants of the Desert brings the inspiring story of a resilient elephant family surviving against the odds in one of the harshest environments on Earth - Africa’s Namib Desert - to the giant screen for the very first time. Filmed on location in the Namib, one of the oldest and largest deserts, the film provides unprecedented access to one of only two populations of desert elephants in the world, totaling close to 150 individuals compared to a historic population of 2,500-3,500 in the 18th century. Despite having significant needs for water, these elephants have somehow learned to thrive in this land of extremes. With a slow reproduction cycle of 3+ years and a high mortality rate due partly to the desert conditions, every calf becomes more than precious, and the desert elephants themselves seem to know it well, too. The film’s story is driven by Little Foot, a newborn calf, as she survives her perilous and most vulnerable first year despite the odds, helped by a fierce extended family of elephants. Audiences will follow Little Foot on an epic and at times whimsical journey, getting up close and personal with the largest land mammals on the planet as they care for the smallest member of the herd. Together the matriarchal herd of aunts and sisters will brave the desert’s elements and use some elephant superpowers, from finding underground aquifers to foreseeing sandstorms. Through the eyes of these elephants, audiences will also see the hidden side of an otherworldly and formidable landscape, where a cast of iconic animals including giraffes, monkeys and lions form a unique canvas of life. To capture the adventures of Little Foot on screen, the filmmaking crew including Paul Phelan, Tamatea Kohu and Cam Batten lived another kind of adventure behind the camera, lugging intricate production gear into the remote desert, and battling the elements despite being out of their natural habitat. Earning the trust of the elephants, especially around their little one, took patience and respect, for which the filmmakers were rewarded with a close look into the lives of these enigmatic yet endangered creatures. Elephants: Giants of the Desert is a family friendly movie filmed for Giant Screen and IMAX® theaters in native 3D, where state-of-the-art image and sound will immerse audiences in the unbelievable world of the elephants and their true story of family and survival. Elephants: Giants of the Desert is produced by Definition Studios and distributed by K2 Studios. The AutoNation® IMAX® Theater at the Museum of Discovery and Science is located at 401 SW 2nd Street in Fort Lauderdale. The film Elephants: Giants of the Desert is included in the MODS Discovery Pass, an all-in-one ticket that includes Museum exhibitions, live science demonstrations and one IMAX® documentary film. On The Wings of Hermès: A Poetic and Cinematic Performance

The Hangar at Regatta Harbour 3385 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL, United States
HERMÈS PRESENTS “ON THE WINGS OF HERMÈS”, A POETIC AND CINEMATOGRAPHIC PERFORMANCE THAT WILL OPEN ITS DOORS ON APRIL 18 AT THE HANGAR AT REGATTA HARBOUR Hermès invites the audience to travel to an imaginary universe created for the house by Belgian duo, director Jaco Van Dormael and choreographer Michèle Anne De Mey, together with the Astragales dance company. The performance is an invitation to take flight and see your dreams take shape in an ode to oneirism. “This work metaphorically illustrates the lightness that is omnipresent at Hermès: in the delicate hands of our craftsmen sewing with two needles at once; in the elegance of materials, and in the subtle notes of a perfume. It is an experience which sparks the imagination, designed by artisans of dreams,” says Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès Artistic Director. In the darkness of a vast space that resembles a film studio, seven sketches reveal, one after another, the fable of Pegasus, the mythical winged horse, and his seven foals. In a performance which blends together dance, a theatre of objects, music and cinema, visitors discover a tale through seven performances, each with its own backdrop; landscapes and utopic worlds where poetic figurines and Hermès objects come alive, like graceful puppets, in a choreography of twirling hands. Dancers and choreographers work together with image and lighting techni- cians in a magical extravaganza. A mini circus; a humorous opera sung by a cast of Hermès “Kelly” bags; a lyrical flight of interlacing gloves; a dance sequence depicting two entwined lovers, carried away by the wind into a bright blue sky... Captured in real time by Jaco Van Dormael, the scenes are projected onto a giant screen, recreating the magic of the illusion. After performances in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore, the world tour of this original creation lands in Miami with an experience that appeals to the senses and embodies the playful, lighthearted spirit of Hermès. Performances of On the Wings of Hermès will be available from April 18 to 27, 2025 (closed on April 21) at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour (3385 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33133). Shows begin promptly at 2:00pm, 4:00pm, and 7:00pm. Doors open 30 minutes before showtimes. Free admission by registration is available at Hermes.com/wings. #ONTHEWINGSOFHERMES

MADD Southeast Florida to Host 14th Annual UKG & Salah Foundation Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K Presented by the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County on Sunday, April 27

SE 1st Avenue and Las Olas Blvd. SE 1st Avenue and Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States
Drunk driving deaths have increased by 31% over the past decade with someone being killed or injured in a drunk driving crash every 78 seconds. Two out of three people will be impacted by drunk driving in their lifetime. Drunk driving is a 100 percent preventable crime, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)’s goal is to end impaired driving. In the ongoing fight against drunk driving and drugged driving, MADD Southeast Florida will host the 14th Annual UKG & Salah Foundation Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K presented by the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County on Sunday, April 27. Thousands of walkers, runners, strollers, wheelchair athletes, and supporters of all ages will come together in downtown Fort Lauderdale to raise awareness and funds to end impaired driving for good. The in-person race will start near Huizenga Plaza at 7:30 a.m., or supporters can also participate in a virtual option. Festivities will include children’s activities, an awards ceremony, live musical performances, and vendor/educational booths. The event will be attended by dignitaries including Walk Like MADD Fort Lauderdale Founder and Honorary Chairperson Heather Geronemus; Honorary Chairperson Colonel Nichole Anderson, Undersheriff of Broward Sheriff’s Office; Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony; Sgt. Ryan Clifton from Broward Sheriff’s Office; Sgt. Trevor Thomas from Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s DUI Unit; and Lt. Indiana Miranda from Florida Highway Patrol. Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K is a community-driven 5K that raises awareness about drunk and drugged driving and underage drinking while uniting community members around MADD’s mission. Since it was established in 2011, Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K has raised nearly $4 million that stays in the South Florida community to save lives and support victims of drunk driving, making it the most successful grassroots fundraiser in the history of MADD. Every dollar donated remains in South Florida to provide victim services and prevention education at no cost. MADD is committed to leading prevention efforts with young adults, collaborating with law enforcement to keep roads safe from impaired drivers, as well as advocating for stricter sentencing and stronger laws, including the HALT Act that mandates anti-drunk driving technology in every new car. MADD continues to provide support services to victims and survivors of impaired driving at no charge through victim services specialists and the 24-Hour Victim Help Line. "Every day, 37 lives are needlessly cut short in drunk driving crashes, leaving behind shattered families and communities. This heartbreaking, 100 percent preventable crime changes lives forever—and it’s why we must stand together, stronger than ever, to raise awareness and fight for change,” said Heather Geronemus, past chairwoman of the MADD National Board of Directors. “Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K is more than just an event—it’s a movement that saves lives and supports victims right here in South Florida. This impactful day of hope and action wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our attendees, board members, sponsors, and donors, who share the commitment to end impaired driving once and for all." Geronemus’ late father, Dr. Robert Perry Geronemus was struck and killed by a drunk driver in 2009. Faena Art’s Fifth Annual Gala – Follow Your Rainbow – at Faena Miami Beach External Inbox Faena/Faena Art

International non-profit organization Faena Art is thrilled to announce its fifth annual Gala. Hosted by Alan and Grace Faena, the fundraiser will take place poolside at Faena Miami Beach (3201 Collins Avenue) on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00pm. Faena Art’s gala celebrates the arts by directly supporting its mission to break boundaries, commemorate innovation in artistic expression, and honor the creative spirit that propels our community of talented artists forward. Proceeds from the gathering go towards expanding and elevating the cultural footprint of Miami through the organization’s free and open-to-the-public programming. This includes amplifying emerging artists and curating experimental site-specific commissions at the Faena Art Project Room, which serves as a canvas for interdisciplinary artists to explore new facets of their practice while engaging with the local community. Donations also support the prestigious Faena Prize for the Arts, which is awarded biennially and recognizes artistic experimentation through the links between art, technology, and design. By commissioning cross disciplinary artistic experiences, such as those being prepared for the gala, Faena Art emphasizes the cultivation of community and its support for artists locally and abroad. This year’s theme, Follow Your Rainbow, will inspire a radiant celebration of joy, color, and artistic expression highlighting the work of esteemed artist Joel Mesler. The spectacular gathering will display a site-specific installation from Mesler, who is known for his vibrant, text-based paintings that blend pop culture, personal nostalgia, and playful motifs. Often featuring bold phrases over lush, tropical backdrops, Mesler’s work will invite guests to join the artist in exploring themes of identity, self-reflection, and humor. Through a rainbow archway, guests will be greeted and guided to Faena’s exclusive pool by colorful pathways that set the stage for an exhilarating and animated evening. In lieu of a traditional gala setting, the interactive immersion of the senses will begin with an elaborate culinary processional of delicacies from signature Chef Paul Qui. Drawing culinary inspiration from his Filipino roots coupled with Japanese, Spanish and French cooking styles, Qui will present a colossal whole tuna carved fresh among the crowd. To follow, guests can indulge in abundant towers of grilled meats and vegetables from world-renowned Argentine chef Francis Mallmann, known for his open-fire, Asado-style cooking. The unforgettable procession will also blend music, fashion, and art with performers styled in rainbow-couture influenced by the joyful expression of Mesler's artwork. Under the starlit sky, attendees can anticipate a special live performance from Richie Hell, inviting guests to let the rhythm move them and to celebrate the transformative power of artistic expression. Guests are encouraged to wear a rainbow-inspired dress code for the evening. The gala will commence with Faena Art awarding its annual recipient for best dressed, keeping in mind this year’s theme. The winner will receive special recognition with a complimentary two-night stay at the luxurious Faena Penthouse. Donations and ticket purchases to support the arts can be made at https://e.givesmart.com/events/Ho4. Individual tickets and VIP package offerings are available.
