Gioia Hospitality Group Debuts Daniel’s Miami in Coral Gables, July 23

On Wednesday, July 23, Gioia Hospitality Group will debut Daniel’s Miami, a world-class modern steakhouse and the latest evolution from the team behind the MICHELIN Guide-recommended Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale. Located in Coral Gables in the former Fiola Miami space at 1500 San Ignacio Ave., also co-owned by Gioia founder Thomas Angelo, Daniel’s Miami brings a refined new chapter to one of the city’s most iconic dining addresses, pairing a globally sourced steak program with refined local seafood, housemade pastas, and the group’s hallmark warm, European-style hospitality.
The same seasoned team who shaped the legacy of Fiola Miami and created Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse will lead Daniel’s Miami, including founder Thomas Angelo and his daughter Kassidy Angelo, Culinary Director Danny Ganem, on-premise Executive Chef Luis Salcedo, Director of Operations Scott Ozler and Wine & Beverage Director Daniel Bishop. Together they will continue to deliver the kind of polished, intuitive service and thoughtful attention to detail that keeps guests coming back to Gioia restaurants time and again.
“We’ve been fortunate to build a loyal following in Fort Lauderdale, including many Miami guests who have asked for a Daniel’s experience closer to home,” says Thomas Angelo. “Daniel’s Miami will answer that call in a fresh, yet familiar space, with an exceptional menu, and the same incredible team our guests have come to know.”
Led by Ganem, the kitchen is committed to responsible sourcing, partnering with purveyors who prioritize ethical practices, including the humane treatment of animals and environmental sustainability. Dishes feature best-in-class ingredients from specialty purveyors worldwide and locally grown and harvested products from Florida farms and fisheries whenever possible.
Steak is the centerpiece of the Daniel’s Miami menu, with premium selections including Stone Axe and Margaret River Steaks Wagyu from Australia, and a show-stopping Tableside Wagyu Prime Rib from Strube Ranch in Texas. The indulgent meat offerings are balanced by fresh seafood options, including pristine seafood towers, whole Dover Sole, and a signature Lobster Fra Diavolo. Just as compelling are the housemade pastas and vegetarian-friendly plates, including Fiola Miami classics like Rigatoni alla Vodka and Spaghetti alla Chittara with Truffles, returning alongside other beloved dishes such as the Branzino and Chocolate Cake.
The Bar at Daniel’s Miami is a focal point of the restaurant’s transformation, now featuring a sleek new bar top, updated seating, TVs, and an all-day menu designed for drop-in dining. Guests can expect comfort-driven options like Chef Danny’s Double Patty Smash Burger, the signature Cacio e Pepe, and a rotating lineup of dishes perfect for more casual visits and game-day festivities. Wine & Beverage Director Daniel Bishop and Coral Gables cocktail veteran Cesar Lopez offer a carefully crafted beverage program that highlights guest favorites like Daniel’s Martini and the Canyon Margarita in addition to new handcrafted cocktail creations. Bishop will carry over the award-winning list that earned Fiola Miami a Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” for six consecutive years. The team’s acclaimed monthly wine dinner series will also return alongside high-profile collaborations like the 2025 U.S. edition of the Rare Tour for the 101 World’s Best Steakhouses, hosted this October by Daniel’s Miami in collaboration with Rockpool Steakhouse in Sydney, Australia and Schrader Winery from Napa Valley.
Designer Santiago Bustamante and Angelo have reimagined the interiors, starting with a rich hunter green palette that aligns with its sister restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Stunning original David Yarrow photography adorns two signature walls, while the entire space is warmly illuminated by Murano glass chandeliers. The refurbished private dining room retains its magnificent wine walls and will continue to accommodate everything from milestone dinners to corporate gatherings. Guests can also look forward to La Terrazza, the rooftop terrace that will continue to host private and corporate events under its original name.
Daniel’s Miami will be open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch with reservations available exclusively through RESY. Upon opening, diners can sample highlights through Miami Spice (August 1–September 30), when Daniel’s Miami will offer three-course prix-fixe menus for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch, as well as a five-course Wagyu Tasting Experience as part of their Signature Miami Spice Experience.
