Legacy meets leadership in South Florida’s hub for women innovators and changemakers.

The Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation (Levan Center of Innovation) has launched its latest initiative— “Women of Vision,” a transformative new membership program dedicated to empowering women across industries through mentorship, leadership development, and meaningful collaboration. Rooted in legacy and purpose, the program honors the late Susie Levan, a beloved advocate for women’s empowerment and community advancement. Her spirit of resilience and generosity lives on through this pioneering initiative.

A Movement Rooted in Purpose

The Women of Vision membership program was designed to cultivate a multigenerational network of professional women committed to driving change. With offerings that include exclusive events, workshops, and access to curated resources, the initiative provides a space where women can thrive—both personally and professionally.

“Women of Vision is more than a membership,” says Mili Orsini Peluso, MBA, Deputy Executive Director of the Levan Center of Innovation. “It’s a movement fueled by connection, collaboration, and purpose—a place where women empower each other to innovate, lead, and inspire.”

Membership that Makes an Impact

Members can join at two levels:

  • Trailblazer Membership ($1,200 for three years) – Founding members receive a signature dragonfly pin—symbolizing adaptability and transformation—along with premier access to events, recognition at high-profile gatherings, and the opportunity to help shape future programming.
  • Annual Membership ($375 per year) – Offers access to a digital member portal, expert-led events, and a growing professional network committed to mutual growth and support.

Upcoming 2025 events include Lunch & Learns, hands-on workshops, and the annual Holiday Celebration Networking Reception. Signature gatherings like the Women’s International Month Breakfast, which took place in March, set the tone for an inspiring year ahead.

Sponsorship with Purpose

Businesses can align with this powerful initiative by sponsoring events such as leadership workshops or Lunch & Learn sessions. These partnerships offer targeted brand visibility, direct community engagement, and a chance to support South Florida’s leading women in innovation, business, tech, and more.

At the Heart of Innovation: The Levan Center of Innovation

The Women of Vision initiative is a natural extension of the Levan Center of Innovation’s bold mission: to serve as a launchpad for innovation, economic development, and workforce transformation in South Florida and beyond. A 54,000-square-foot technology and entrepreneurship hub located on the Nova Southeastern University campus in Fort Lauderdale, the Levan Center of Innovation offers hands-on programming and access to some of the most advanced emerging technology labs in the region.

Its programming follows the Founder’s Journey—Ideate, Incubate, Accelerate, and Post-Accelerate—supporting innovators and startups from concept to commercialization. In addition to co-working spaces and startup incubators, the Levan Center of Innovation houses advanced technology labs including a Volumetric Capture StudioCybersecurity Range, and Digital Cities Lab, bridging the gap between education and industry with future-forward resources.

With a deep commitment to community engagement and global opportunity, the Levan Center of Innovation stands as a gateway for entrepreneurs, tech professionals, creatives, and now, empowered women leaders to connect and grow.

“This isn’t just about creating opportunities for women—it’s about building an ecosystem where every voice can thrive, and every idea has the potential to transform the world,” adds Mili.
