This October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UNA Vodka – the revolutionary Miami-based botanical vodka brand founded by Leticia Fernández de Mesa – has launched a month-long Flowers for Strength campaign nationwide to spread awareness and raise funds for breast cancer prevention, treatment, and healing.
For every bottle of UNA Vodka sold during the month of October – including online and retail sales, and all bottles purchased by restaurants and bars to serve on-premise – the brand will donate $2 per bottle to F*ck Cancer – a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on prevention, early detection, and supporting those affected by cancer through education and screening initiatives, as well as programs such as Personal Ink (P.ink) which empowers women to reclaim their bodies after mastectomies through beautiful floral tattoos by expert tattoo artists.
As part of the Flowers for Strength campaign, select bars and restaurants in Florida are featuring their own individual UNA Vodka ‘F Cancer’ cocktail recipes onsite for consumers to sip and support throughout October. In South Florida, participating restaurants include Amara at Paraiso, Julia & Henry’s, Phuc Yea, Piegari, UDON Wynwood, Vinya Key Biscayne, Maman, Hutong, Eating House, Naked Taco, Boulud Sud Miami (JW Marriott Marquis), Drake’s Bar and La Terraza Café & Bar (JW Marriott Miami), and Le Mirage Lobby Lounge (Miami Marriott Dadeland), among several others.
In addition, UNA Vodka tapped mixology masters Gui Jaroschy and Josue Gonzalez of Unfiltered Hospitality to create a special ‘F Cancer’ at-home cocktail – Velvet Fizz – crafted with UNA, Campari, Re’al guava syrup, lemon juice and sparkling rosé. Consumers are encouraged to support with every sip by purchasing a bottle of UNA to make the Velvet Fizz cocktail at-home throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
