Dominion Builders Selected for Complete Interior and Exterior Renovations for 5th Avenue Delray
Dominion Builders, a privately owned, commercial general contractor based in Coral Gables, Florida, in collaboration with BC Architects, is pleased to announce that it has been selected for the phase 1 exterior and phase 2 interior renovations for 5th Avenue Delray, the elegant 125,000-square-foot luxury five-story rental property. Located at 151 NE 5th Ave. in Delray Beach, Florida, 5th Avenue Delray was originally built in 2011, and the building boasts 47 luxury apartments and five commercial units.
As part of the exterior renovations, Dominion Builders is leading the restoration of stucco along with renewal and beautification of the façade. To begin with the resurfacing of the building, Dominion Builders and Starsouth Stucco Systems are utilizing an innovative technique called “StoPowerwall” that wraps the building with a multi-component, high performance system that includes air and water-resistive barriers, drainage mats for moisture management, and crack defense to prevent future cracking. The result is a revitalized building that looks brand new.
“As we work on the complete interior and exterior restoration of the 5th Avenue Delray building, this innovative technique helps beautify and strengthen the building,” stated Steve Bawden, superintendent for Dominion Builders.
In addition, Dominion Builders is mobilizing for the interior renovations. “We will completely renovate all residential units and common areas, including lobby corridors, gym and clubhouse. As far as the units, they will receive new kitchens, cabinets, appliances, lighting and flooring. The building will receive new air-conditioning units, water heaters and generators, and the pool will get resurfaced,” said Daniel Sanchez, project manager of Dominion Builders.
