Da Angelino Cucina Italiana Brings Modern Italian Dining to Coconut Grove

View Gallery

Da Angelino Cucina Italiana has opened its doors at CocoWalk, bringing refined yet soulful Italian dining to the heart of Coconut Grove. The restaurant is the first collaboration between two of South Florida’s most respected hospitality groups—Graspa Group and Ariete Hospitality Group—marking Graspa’s debut in the Grove and Ariete’s first Italian concept.

A Modern Italian Experience with Deep Roots

Florence-born hospitality veteran Angelin Kometa leads the restaurant, blending decades of Italian dining tradition with contemporary Miami style. Terra-cotta and sage interiors, white-linen tables, and a lush patio set the stage for a dining experience designed to feel elegant yet relaxed. Thoughtful touches throughout reinforce its family-first atmosphere.

It’s how we grew up eating in Italy—elegant but never stiff, where guests are welcomed like family.

Kometa brings his signature warmth to the front of the house each day.

A Menu That Travels Through Italy

The menu pays tribute to Italy’s many regions, with highlights including:

  • Antipasti and Crudo: Tuna Tartare, Polpo alla Griglia, Frittura Mista
  • Formaggi e Salumi Boards: Prosciutto San Daniele, mortadella, truffled pecorino, taleggio
  • House-Made Pastas: Cacio e Pepe alla Ruota, Gnocchi alla Vodka, Linguine ai Frutti di Mare
  • Secondi and Grilled Entrées: Brasato al Barolo, Short Ribs, Cotoletta alla Milanese, Ribeye for two

Seasonal salads, small plates, and vegetable-driven sides such as braised artichokes and creamy Parmesan spinach round out the offerings.

Wines and Cocktails with Global Reach

The wine program emphasizes bold Italian reds from Tuscany, Veneto, Sicily, and Piedmont, complemented by international selections from Napa Valley, Spain, and France. Crisp whites, Italian rosés, and French Champagnes add versatility. A curated cocktail menu blends classic Italian favorites with modern signatures, designed to pair seamlessly with the cuisine.

A Partnership Years in the Making

The concept also carries personal meaning for Ariete Hospitality CEO Andrew Falsetto, who grew up dining at Graspa Group restaurants with his Italian father.

We’ve dreamed of opening an Italian restaurant in the Grove for years. But we knew we had to do it with the right partners.

With Da Angelino Cucina Italiana, Graspa and Ariete deliver a restaurant that honors tradition while embracing modern tastes—creating a new anchor for Coconut Grove’s thriving dining scene.
