Could This Iconic Acapulco Resort Have Inspired Apple TV+’s Acapulco?

With Apple TV+ debuting the fourth and final season of Acapulco, there’s no better time to spotlight a legendary resort that embodies the same golden age glamour of the show’s setting: Princess Mundo Imperial in Acapulco.
While not officially tied to the series, the resort’s striking Aztec-inspired architecture, storied Hollywood history, and stunning Riviera Diamante beachfront are uncannily reminiscent of the beloved show’s backdrop.
Following a $120 million renovation, Princess Mundo Imperial has reimagined its more than 1,000 guest rooms and suites, expanded its dining experiences, and elevated its wellness offerings, all while staying true to its iconic roots. Later this fall, the resort will unveil Teté, Cocina del Alma, a new signature restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán.
Guests can enjoy five pools, championship golf, and direct beach access, creating a cinematic escape that blends heritage with modern luxury.
