His vision for North Bay Village came during his frequent visits to Shuckers, a local dining spot. Struck by the area’s untapped potential, he envisioned a development that could transform the landscape. Despite initial challenges, including stringent building approvals that had deterred other developers, Eichner’s determination never waned. His pivotal meeting with the city’s mayor allowed him to articulate the significant benefits that such developments could bring to the area. If you could live in any one of your developments, which one would it be and why?
I already do. I live in the Madison Square Park Tower in New York.
What’s your favorite movie?
I’m a big fan of action films—anything with Denzel Washington or Clint Eastwood really gets me.We understand you’re an adventure seeker. What are some of the activities that showcase this side of you? Whether it’s driving race cars, deep-sea fishing for marlins or going on safari in Africa, I’m always up for an adventure and living life to the fullest.
What’s something unexpected people might not know about you?
Many are surprised to learn that I’ve always been interested in fashion. That interest was expanded after having two daughters. Shopping with and for them has been a lot of fun.
Let’s explore your fashion sense! If someone wants to spice up their fashion game, what should they do? Have an interesting pair of eyeglasses and a distinctive watch.Can you share some of your favorite places to shop?
I take pride in selecting fashion pieces for the women in my life. But fashion is about finding those unique pieces that resonate with personal style. Here are some of my favorite places to shop…For funky jewelry: Lydia Courteille. For quality leather: Jitrois and Chrome Hearts. For shoes: Bergdorf Goodman’s shoe department
What is your favorite wine?
I have a collection of over 3,000 wines at my New York home. For anyone looking to enjoy a great Bordeaux, I recommend wines from these two regions: Pomerol and Margaux. Some of the best years include 1970, 1982 and 1990.
What is something you want to be remembered for?
Hopefully, being a very thoughtful dad.
What advice would you give to someone starting out who aspires to start their own business?
Have vision, be able to take a risk, and don’t take it personally if you suffer a loss.
