At Camille’s Pizzeria & Ristorante in Oakland Park, Chef John Kreidich invites guests to experience the soulful warmth of home-cooked Italian meals, refined through years of world-class culinary training. Co-owned with his wife, Maya Kreidich, Camille’s is more than a restaurant—it’s a love letter to family, heritage, and the joy of sharing a great meal.

Born and raised in New York, Chef John’s passion for cooking was sparked in his grandparents’ kitchen, where he learned the value of tradition, fresh ingredients, and food made from the heart. After earning a degree in Hotel Management from the New York Institute of Technology and refining his skills at the Instituto Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy, Kreidich built an impressive résumé working with acclaimed chefs and restaurants in New York, Miami Beach, and Fort Lauderdale. His career includes leadership roles at The Dutch, Leuca at The William Vale, Macchialina, and most recently, as Executive Chef at Dune by Laurent Tourondel in Fort Lauderdale.

At Camille’s—named in honor of his mother—Chef John blends French and American culinary techniques with time-honored Italian recipes handed down from his grandmother and inspired by the women in his life. “All my recipes are influenced by my wife, my grandmother, or my mother,” he says. “I’ve taken what I’ve learned from great chefs and applied it to the food I grew up with.”

The menu showcases elevated comfort food, featuring dishes like Signature Ricotta with housemade taralli, white truffle–infused Patolis, Grilled Pinwheel Sausage with pepperonata and broccoli rabe, and Wild Mushroom Pappardelle. Camille’s also serves classic New York-style pizzas with a perfectly balanced house-made sauce, alongside hearty entrées such as Chicken “Parma John” and Mediterranean Branzino. For dessert, favorites like Tiramisu and Cannoli round out the experience.

With 120 seats and a cozy, family-inspired interior, Camille’s was designed to be a neighborhood gathering spot where families, locals, and food lovers alike can enjoy chef-driven Italian cuisine at approachable prices. “I want people to feel like they’re home,” says Chef John.  “Come in, make a mess, laugh loud, eat well, and have a great glass of wine.”
