Hedley Studios Revolutionizes Art with Luxury Automotive Creations
Hedley Studios, renowned for its hand-crafted, scaled electric recreations of luxury vehicles, unveiled Hedley Galleries, a series of exclusive pop-up galleries across the U.S. and Europe. These galleries will offer a unique platform for visitors to experience the exquisite craftsmanship of Hedley Studios’ creations, engage with expert curators, and acquire these rare design objects. Each piece is a meticulously crafted tribute to iconic vehicles that are no longer in production, making them highly sought-after treasures of automotive history.
The Visionary Behind Hedley Studios
Ben Hedley, the Founder and Creative CEO of Hedley Studios, has a remarkable journey that led to the creation of these automotive masterpieces. Originally known as The Little Car Company, Hedley Studios was born from Ben’s passion for car design and engineering. Despite not having a natural talent for artistic design, Ben pursued his dream by studying Undergraduate Engineering at Cambridge University and later earning a Masters in Manufacturing Engineering. His diverse background includes competing on the British Ski team and a series of successful entrepreneurial ventures.
The turning point came when Bugatti approached Ben to recreate their 1920s ‘Bugatti Baby’ for their 110th birthday. The result was a stunning 75% reinterpretation that showcased an extraordinary level of detail, setting a new standard for automotive art. Following this success, prestigious brands like Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, and Bentley sought out Hedley Studios to reinterpret their legacy vehicles.
A Legacy of Excellence
Operating from their Bicester Heritage headquarters in the UK, Ben and his team of artisans create these collectible masterpieces using approximately 80% British-sourced components. To date, these coveted pieces have been acquired by discerning individuals in 50 countries across six continents, solidifying Hedley Studios’ reputation for excellence.
First Pop-Up Gallery in Sag Harbor
Hedley Galleries opened its inaugural pop-up gallery in June at 16 Main Street in Sag Harbor, NY. This exclusive gallery will be open until Monday, September 2nd, offering private appointments and inquiries via hamptons@hedleygalleries.com.
Art in Motion
Ben Hedley encapsulates the studio’s philosophy: “Since inception, my vision has been to reinterpret the most iconic vehicles of the past into collectable pieces of art. Working with globally renowned brands such as Ferrari, Bugatti, Bentley, and Aston Martin, we are bringing the greatest automotive designs to new audiences in slightly scaled-down, yet still fully realized forms. I am proud of what we have accomplished to date and believe our work invites individuals to consider that art doesn’t have to be a static object hanging on a wall, while serving as tangible expressions of our unique creative vision.”
Andrew L. Farkas, Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Island Capital, echoes this sentiment: “The artisans from Hedley Studios have redefined collectible artworks with their drivable sculptures. Avid car enthusiasts and art collectors require the confidence that they are investing in a unique asset that no one else has, and that no one else may ever have.”
