Works on Paper: Drawn from the Collection
October 1, 2020 - January 3, 2021
Each of the more than 75 works culled for this exhibition is from Boca Raton Museum of Art’s vast collection, a reflection of the museum’s incredible past and ongoing generosity of its donors. The exhibit includes several drawings from major artists (think: Matisse, Picasso and Degas) thanks to a gift from the Dr. and Mrs. John J. Mayers Collection in 1989. It also features recent acquisitions, including drawings by Salvador Dalí and Francis Picabia, which were donated last year. Drawn from the Collection is joined at Boca Museum by Phyllis Galembo: Maske and Eye to I: Self Portraits from the National Portrait Gallery, which have been extended through Sept. 20, and Edward Steichen: In Exaltation of Flowers, which has been extended through Jan. 3.
